Booster shots to prevent infections from coronavirus mutations will become the norm in the future, according to a top genome expert in the United Kingdom.
"We have to appreciate that we were always going to have to have booster doses; immunity to coronavirus doesn’t last forever," Sharon Peacock, the head of the COVID-19 Genomics UK, exclusively told Reuters. COG-UK, which was created by Peacock about a year ago in response to COVID-19 and is a consortium of public health and academic institutions, has sequenced some 349,205 genomes of the virus out of a global effort of about 778,000 genomes, the outlet reported.
Just like the annual flu shot, boosters for COVID-19 will likely be needed to combat coronavirvus variants that could occur in the future, said Peacock.
"We already are tweaking the vaccines to deal with what the virus is doing in terms of evolution — so there are variants arising that have a combination of increased transmissibility and an ability to partially evade our immune response," she added.

We'll see what happens with Sweden. Their deaths and infections were as bad or worse than the rest of Europe and their economy tanked 8% in the 2nd quarter last year, same as ours (non-annualized number).
On the flip side their population will wind up healthier, especially the youmg. We don't know how much healthier but the mental health of American children has fallen off a cliff. Americans on average gained 1.5 pounds per month in lockdown.
“U full of panic and fear and your claim that subsequent infections of Coronavirus yield more serious symptoms is FOS”

You FFF.
Full Flubro Fool.
There was an instance of vaccine associated ADE of RSV that killed two children and made several others quite sick but it was deemed likely that their immature immune systems were to blame more than the vaccine itself.
Of course, that's not to say that it isn't a concern with Covid vaccinations.

Questions:
.
*What ID information are the vaxx'ers giving to get the shots?
*Is it enough that it is par with voter registration?
*Does one have to show their DL at the vaxx centers?
*Same to get their "booster"?
Because the world is not filled with psychopaths - some in positions of high authority.
Here in Indiana it’s variable.
I had to show my Medicare card, as did my wife.
But my SIL went last week and said they didn’t ask for anything.
“Why should this be any different? If you take out all the susceptible hosts out of the chain of infection, it is pretty much eradicated.”
Its a corona virus and the “treatment” does not confer sterilizing immunity.
Why hasn’t there been a vaccine for the common cold or AIDS for that matter. All attempts to produce a Corona vaccine have failed when test animals were exposed to a virus in the wild.
It is not possible to out-vaccinate viral mutation; the typical viral “turn time” during which a mutation can take place is around 10 hours and the infectious generation time for Covid-19 approximately four to five days. How long does it take you to recognize, reformulate and re-jab everyone again? Worse, each time you try that if the virus evades it you potentiate even more-virulent mutations
Did you register to get in line?
Yes on the internet.
We got the tip that if we went to the bad side of town, latinos and blacks aren’t getting the vax, so our wait time was 3 days instead of 6 weeks (this was back in January)
*What kind of information did you have to give when you registered on the "internet"?
“expert”
Not if u don’t have vaccine ;)
name
birth date
zip code
male/female
email address
Your vaccination papers, please.
We are all cattle now.
Cattle eventually get slaughtered.
Who is we?
I never get one.
I also never needed a flu passport.
When you get the Moderna, they can just scan you like the dog chip at the vet.
But it does tend to set off the theft alarms at WalMart.
Luckily I can still outrun the chubby mask sheriff lady at the door.
All your teeth are pulled now.
You’re about the only reasonable person on this thread!
The “immuno pathology” meme has been well debunked but I’d like someone’s reasonable input on this:
The covid is zoonotic, it infects rats, squirrels, and our pets.
That seems to mess up the whole “herd immunity” benefit of vaccination since, assumedly, it is already present and growing in those populations.
So we will have to have booster shots to keep up our immunity from those sources and the variants, perhaps, that will develop in them.
Or it may not be a big problem as those animals will die off or develop natural immunity.
Because the flu mutates rapidly. If you got the exact same influenza virus twice, you would be immune to it the second time around but that’s not likely to happen. You may have some long lasting immunity that carries over from one strain to the next making subsequent infections less severe. Given the variability of influenza from one year to the next, subsequent infections may actually be worse too due to antibody dependent enhancement. It seems like it’s a roll of the dice.
So why don’t we all wear masks and confine everyone to quarters for the seasonal flu and require vaccine passports for it?
I know you want to.
