Actually, since Clinton and the 1994 assault weapons ban has the sales of firearms increased dramatically. Yes, it really shot up under Obama and the increase in islamic terrorism in our communities.
Those 100 million additional firearms need ammunition....now you can understand why there is a shortage.
Yep and I really wish people would quit hoarding it. I need more of it. Lol. I do wish the ammo suppliers could make more. And I know it’s legal and all but around here we have people that get calls or texts when the ammo arrives at the store (from employees) and they get there and buy a bunch or all of it and sell it at local gun shows for double or triple the cost. I have seen 25 dollar boxes of 22 ammo going for 75 bucks.
I inventoried my ammunition last week. There is no shortage.
By 2008, there were 308 million, an increase of 70 million in 14 years.
By 2016, there were 405 million, an increase of 97 million in 8 years.
As of the end of March, 2021, there are 470 million, an increase of 65 million in 4.25 years.
The number of firearms in the private stock has nearly doubled since 1994. It will certainly have doubled by the end of this year.
We added two million firearms to the private stock just last month.
In 2020, we added about 21 million for the year.
Commodities are undergoing an enormous increase in price. Steel, copper, essentially everything. That, coupled with demand has made ammo more expensive.
