What You Need to Know About Your Vaccine Card
The New York Times ^ | April 1, 2021 | By Concepción de León

As vaccinations become more widely available for people in the United States and travel starts picking up, many people have started sharing their simple white vaccination cards on social media as prized new possessions.

With some destinations, cruise lines and venues already requiring travelers to provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19, keeping that record is key. In New York, for example, proof of vaccination or a recent negative test will be required for entry into large venues or catered events when they are allowed to reopen at reduced capacity on April 2. Proof will be required at events with more than 100 people, so anyone having a wedding or Sweet 16 with more attendees will have to ask guests for evidence that they are complying with the rules.

There are already a number of vaccination “passport” initiatives underway that would make vaccination status easy to share digitally. Clear, a biometric screening program used in airports across the country, and the technology company IBM have created their own passes, for instance. And last week, New York became the first state to introduce a digital tool to allow people to easily show that they have either tested negative or been inoculated against the virus in order to gain entry into some events and venues.

But until such measures are taken more widely across the country, you’ll want to hang onto that little white card.

You have some really scary stories but hospitalization rates is below 1% for that age group. If you include all ages up to 50 it is only 2.5 percent. Again, no reason for healthy people to get an emergency vaccine.

I think that if we were to get or make counterfeit cards, we are just playing along with their game, albeit in a sneaky fashion. We would be trying to stay under the radar, just so They leave us alone. I won’t do it, even if it means some setbacks. I don’t wish to see those inconveniences They want to impose become permanent!

“First they came for the unvaccinated, but I said nothing, because I had my realistic looking fake vaccination card.”

Think about it.

There is no true resistance, nor positive influence for the good of others, in “pretending” to go along with this evil scheme. Stand up and say “Hell, no!” and let the chips fall where they may. Maybe the ranks of “Hell, no!” people will multiply into a great force. It’s worth taking the chance. But it won’t happen if people just keep their heads down and pretend to play along.

(I’ve not had any shots since childhood, and at this late stage of life am not about to start. I’ll trust my God-given immune system, thank you. And should I get Covid, I’ll avail myself of the cheap, effective treatments I already have on hand.)

I agree BUT look around you at the masked and when you ‘ask’ a lot of them about it they will tell you that it is easier to wear than put up with the hassle.

I don’t wear one (I have a respiratory problem) but for business purposes I do ‘wear’ one around my neck and go through the motions WHEN I am representing ‘you’ but I will and do make a comment when called on it, starting with “I have one on, I just can’t breath when it blocks my nose”, put it on and pull it out (it is a sort of hoodie).

Then you see all those that handle them like a pair of gloves, wear just over the mouth etc and wonder why people haven’t caught on to the farce.

I did joke that I had a fake ID saying I was 63 after ‘they’ suggested all over 65 or so should go hide in the attic.

As to the mask fiasco what started as a 15 day ‘test’ then escalated to ‘until we get a vaccine’ to ‘until we are sure of the vaccine’ then you get daily reports about maybe the present isn’t enough etc etc etc

I personally feel the mask thing is ONLY about control and if we ever do get the word that it isn’t necessary to wear that enough sheep will continue to wear them so ‘big brother’ than can bring it out when he wants/needs something else.

Unlike Post 9/11 (when it was darn near impossible to find an American Flag of ANY sort in the following weeks), the shelves were overflowing with them within a year and today I can basically count the vehicles one sees (outside of a car dealership) on one hand...and that includes MINE....

Have you seen this site? https://fakemaskusa.com/

No financial interest, but it might interest you! I don’t have one of theirs, because I made my own non-mask early on and have never used anything else, and only when absolutely required to get in some stores. Lately I am even taking to pulling that one down below my nose. Now that I know of that website, when someone comments favorably on my patio screen mask, I direct them there for another good alternative.

Not so sure that with some of todays ‘adults’ one could say they had an invisible or spray on mask on.

I was also thinking of one of the old ski masks which completely covered the head except for two slits for the eyes.

Put a picture of a celebrity on it and maybe MOST, if not all, could look like PDJT.....

Just a thought.....

Bet employers of small businesses will have to post this in their windows in order to serve the “ public safely “. If a majority of the work force at your job is vaccinated and you are not they will refuse to work with you and force the company to let you go, if a doctor or dentist and their employees are vaccinated and you need their service you could be refused. Its going in this direction
