Pennsylvania senators want to prohibit vaccine passports

Three state senators said they plan to introduce legislation that would prohibit the governor from implementing a vaccine passport program in Pennsylvania.

Susquehanna Valley Sens. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-28) and Judy Ward (R-30), along with Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50), said requiring people to show proof of being vaccinated to do certain things is "an extreme government intrusion into people’s personal lives."

The lawmakers agree that anyone who wants a vaccine should get one but said there are reasons why some people may choose not to get immunized, and the government should not ask residents to reveal personal health information.

News 8 asked Gov. Tom Wolf on Tuesday about his thoughts on a vaccine passport program.

He said he believed it could be relatively easy to implement and that he would support it if the legislature gave him a plan.

Right now, the state has no plan to implement a vaccine passport

If they do not insure election integrity, it does not matter.

That’s strange. Three women proposing this.

Where are the men?

Well tack a ban on health passports to a bill fixing election fraud. Bunch of effing useless RINOs.

If you get shots they give you a vaccine card. That should be enough for the places needing proof on Vaccination. In no case should their be a mandatory ‘passport’.

They are holding hearings on it now. The one yesterday was the eighth of ten hearings examining the 2020 election in Pennsylvania, and will ultimately lead to reform recommendations.

Then that card is also considered a vaccine passport. In NY you can use the electronic or the paper. What we need is no asking about the vaccine for anything. Period.

From what I have read the term “vaccine passport” merely refers to an app people can have on their phones that shows they have been vaccinated..it’s not literally a passport like we think of them.

The issue with the vaccine card is that people will lose them, leave them at home, get them wet, etc. People generally always have their phones on them.. so it makes things a bit simpler. when checking in for your flight, you have your boarding pass and proof of vaccine all handy on your phone ( should your airline require it)

Wolf needs to be impeached.

If a person wants an AP they should have one. Other than that a card can do. Drivers Licenses used to be in paper too.

The real issue is having to show it in the first place whether it be passport on card stock or on a screen. Needing permission to do normal activities and live your life is unacceptable. The electronic card just makes it easier for the governors and businesses to use it beyond Covid and to other things to it down the line. Screw the convenience. This needs to be defeated.

yes, that is the real issue. Do you believe individual businesses ( not government) have the right to require proof of vaccine for customers? I think that’s a more interesting question.

This is becoming satanic in the way vaccines are being pushed. They could hold a gun to my head and I still won’t take it

“If you get shots they give you a vaccine card. That should be enough for the places needing proof on Vaccination. In no case should their be a mandatory ‘passport’.”

That’s what FL’s law basically is. The media misrepresents it as outlawing vaccine cards. Total BS. The FL law prohibits businesses, state agencies, etc. from requiring proof of vaccination for access to goods and services. It protects those who choose to not get vaccinated from being cancelled. I suspect the PA law is for a similar effect.

Can a business require customers to wear shirts or shoes?

Further, are there any circumstances( outside of ability to pay) where a business owner can put any requirements on the customer to receive goods or services?

I was required to show a health card as proof of having had a TB test before getting my first job back in the stone age, when dinosaurs walked the earth. No one complained. It was to keep Mexican immigrants with tuberculosis from working in supermarkets.

The “passport” is only the vaccination card. Ignore the shrieking chicken feed from the media and the gullible politicians who eat it up. They’re nuts.

On the QR code for the cellphones, that’s nothing more than a convenience. It’s much more important to secure your phone by replacing the snoopy Googleware in it with open source software, using a virtual private network with a cellphone app and turning off geolocation.

Most of the people refusing to be vaccinated are illegals, urban dwellers and the like. The radical left is already accusing businesses wanting to see vaccination cards of being racist.

The hearings are political theater. Hearings are not required to fix voting. It requires a little commonsense and some imagination to visualize how fraud can be committed. All these RINOs need to do is to undo what they effed up. They are the ones responsible for allowing the fraud to occur in the first place.

It is going to take more than just saying common sense and visualize. It was the elected Democrats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Democrat Governor and Secretary of State who made the last minute changes to voting. Without hearings the Democrats can just say there was no widespread voter fraud and keep everything as is. GA held hearings before they were able to change the law back.
