He might be bipolar
If there was any question a standard 72 hour psychiatric hold could’ve been placed on the guy. I’m reserving an opinion until more is known.
CC
And I read the article
Turns out he was schizophrenic
Terrible and no real way for everyone to know
Good lord... yet another article where they have a quote referring to him as a “gentle giant”. Is some strange disease infecting America’s “gentle giants” causing them to become overcome with violent derangement?
Non-possible because pot is never associated with mental health challenges.
It was the leftwads who shut down the mental hospitals with their locked wards, big orderlies, and medically appropriate drugs, and threw the mentally ill out into the streets to fend for themselves.
Jailers are not psychiatrists, or even psychiatric orderlies.
In this town, there is no place to confine the mentally ill other than the county jail.
Autopsy showed no injuries and no blunt force trauma.
It’s odd that most of these situations begin with someone breaking the law.
They should pass a law against people breaking the law.
Hospitals won’t keep them. It’s why we have so many mass killings. No one wants to house the crazies
Lee Merrit is a clone of Al Sharpton.....😡
Would be helpful if the “media” would specify exactly why 7 people were fired trying to deal with a raving maniac spitting “gentle giant” 🙄
One less Gentle Giant.
he should have done the gummies ..
He wasn’t arrested for smoking marijuana. He was detained for smoking marijuana. He was arrested for having 2 ounces of pot in his possession.
He was in his early 20’s and just flipped out. Up to that point in his life he was perfectly fine. Worked, had a nice Girlfriend and acted every bit normal. I knew the Kid since he was four Years Old.
He starting flipping out, threatening his younger Brother and the Cops were called. He had a Pocket Knife in his hand and was ranting and raving. He was lucky he didn't get shot on the spot.
He was admitted to a Psychiatric Hospital for six Months.
We think he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia but due to HIPPA we only know what he has told us. He is doing better with Medication, but we are always waiting for a recurrence. Very sad situation all around.
We had a similar situation in my county, but the cops took him straight to jail instead of the psych unit and he had a known history of mental illness. Poor kid ended up dying of thirst because essentially the paid jail healthcare workers and jailers weren’t checking on him.
