The Collin County Sheriff's Office has fired seven detention officers involved in the death of 26-year-old Marvin Scott III...

...After being arrested in the parking lot of an Allen, Texas outlet mall for smoking marijuana, police found him "incoherent," according to Scott family attorney, Lee Merritt. “You know what, if he had just smoked his pot at home, none of this would have happened”.

A couple of years ago, a new “Medical Marijuana” user drove his car off the road, and killed a cop. A partial supply of his “prescription” was lying on his car’s floor.

We had a similar situation in my county, but the cops took him straight to jail instead of the psych unit and he had a known history of mental illness. Poor kid ended up dying of thirst because essentially the paid jail healthcare workers and jailers weren’t checking on him.

Dollars to donuts he was using marijuana well before he finagled his medical recommendation.

You make a valid point.
What you do in your home is one thing.
Out in public, quite another.

Thank you for refocusing me.

Makes it worse many times.

My biggest concern is self-medication witth psycho-active drugs. I've seen that done with prescription drugs and can lead to bad outcomes. Not necessarily always bad, depends on the individual and their circumstances.

Just a normal 2021 evening:

"A Florida man’s naked Sunday stroll was abruptly ended when he was tasered by deputies.

Justin Lee Guscinski, 30, of The Villages, was walking along a street naked just after midnight while holding a silver pipe and smoking marijuana, according to Villages-News.

“You are on my property; I have the legal right to shoot you,” Guscinski allegedly told them, before shoving a deputy and running into the home, according to Villages-News,

Deputies ordered him out of the home, and tasered him when he came out. After being tasered, he attempted to remove the Taser’s prongs, prompting another deputy to use the Taser on him again.

Guscinski ran around the home before being apprehended.

He was then taken to a hospital where a nursing staff attempted to treat him by giving him an IV. Guscinski fought them, kicking a nurse in the head, the Villages-News reported.

He was eventually booked into Sumter County Detention Center on Monday, charged with two third-degree felony counts of battery as well as charges of marijuana possession, possession of drug equipment and battery of a firefighter/EMT/officer and held on $17,000 bond."

Fun with Marijuana?

Holy carp, someone replied to one of my posts without calling me an idiot?

But seriously, after a decade or so of watching "Cops," usually while super high, I always wondered, "why are all these idiots driving around with all their drugs in the car?"

Marijuana-induced naked DUI behavior TASED AGAIN...:

"Village police swarmed a gas station recently and used a Taser to stop a naked 36-year-old man who danced in the parking lot before he tried to drive away as onlookers captured video of the strange scene.

The man from Hobe Sound, Florida, appeared to be on drugs, police Lt. Sandra DiRuzza said Monday about the incident, which was captured on video by someone who was watching the arrest unfold.

It is Westchester's brush with the "Florida Man" meme, a viral social media joke that highlights wacky stories of Florida folks running afoul of the law.

It is also the second video catching fire on social media of someone stripping down in Westchester as the weather heats up. Last week a man was filmed swimming in the Renaissance Plaza fountain.

The encounter occurred around 10:10 p.m. on June 11 at the Sunoco gas station at 540 Mamaroneck Ave., DiRuzza said. Officers responded after an employee there reported someone acting erratically.

As depicted in a video posted on Facebook by an onlooker, police are in the parking lot as the man prances out of the gas station's food mart and into a car next to a gas pump.

The man then tried to drive away, but two police cars boxed his car in at the parking lot's Mamaroneck Avenue exit, where several officers surrounded the man's car. An officer opened the driver's side door and the man got out. Officers used a Taser on the man after he refused to comply with officers’ verbal commands, DiRuzza said.

The man, whose name was not released by police, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and public lewdness, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, DiRuzza said.

The man was taken to a hospital for evaluation and given a future date to appear in Court, she said."

Still more madness 😠.

What was the name of that film again? "Reefer...something"?
