Gentle giant = Large, violent career criminal
(Akin to the aspiring rapper who was good to his mother)
Where do you get that number from???
Hospitals won’t keep them. It’s why we have so many mass killings. No one wants to house the crazies
“So does smoking pot help with psychological illnesses?”
Makes it worse many times.
“So does smoking pot help with psychological illnesses?”
I posted nothing to suggest it does, and I am aware of no evidence that it does.
The 3.5-million number?

On assuming that marijuana use increases (as states legalize it), and is relative to the 3.5-million...my own assumption.
While watching the Chauvin trial this week I was thinking that same thing. Shameful that our media, public authorities and popular culture refuse to acknowledge personal responsibility. Lives are being wasted by this foolish mindset of omnipresent and inescapable oppression.
Lee Merrit is a clone of Al Sharpton.....😡
Would be helpful if the “media” would specify exactly why 7 people were fired trying to deal with a raving maniac spitting “gentle giant” 🙄
There’s not a disease advocacy organization in the country that doesn’t come up with wildly exaggerated stats in support of their raison d’etre.
Just look at the typically overreaching definition that the DSM offers for diagnosis on their front page.
One less Gentle Giant.
I have decided to be civil.
Pot does not cause any psychiatric disorder, especially schizophrenia.
You are born with schizophrenia.
Marijuana may enhance the effects of it, but on its own does not cause it.
Another poster said that if he was just left alone to smoke his dope this would not have happened. The poster was being sarcastic.
But, it does not matter how you feel about pot, the statement is factual, and if he was not driving or bothering anyone, why was he arrested for simple possession?
he should have done the gummies ..
Personal responsibility is racist.
(Actually, I think I read that somewhere in an article. Sheesh.)

ACLU badgered Reagan to shut down mental hospitals.
He wasn’t arrested for smoking marijuana. He was detained for smoking marijuana. He was arrested for having 2 ounces of pot in his possession.
You know what, if he had just smoked his pot at home, none of this would have happened. We largely prohibit drinking alcohol in public, and certainly public drunkenness, and that’s a good thing for public order and a civil society. Personally, I don’t want to have to confront big, drugged-out, mentally-ill black men while out doing my business. Been there, done that.
A few - many vets with PTSD find cannabis effective at preventing nocturnal dream/nightmares. Many cancer patients find cannabis effective at reducing anxiety as well as reducing nausea.
He was in his early 20’s and just flipped out. Up to that point in his life he was perfectly fine. Worked, had a nice Girlfriend and acted every bit normal. I knew the Kid since he was four Years Old.
He starting flipping out, threatening his younger Brother and the Cops were called. He had a Pocket Knife in his hand and was ranting and raving. He was lucky he didn't get shot on the spot.
He was admitted to a Psychiatric Hospital for six Months.
We think he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia but due to HIPPA we only know what he has told us. He is doing better with Medication, but we are always waiting for a recurrence. Very sad situation all around.
