Pfizer says its vaccine is preventing 91% of coronavirus cases in the six months after people are immunised.
And a separate study shows even people in their 80s and 90s are producing impressive levels of antibodies after receiving both doses of the vaccine.
Only 63% of them, however, also produce the T-cells that help maintain those antibodies in the longer term.
And the crucial question of how long the protection from the vaccine lasts remains unanswered.
Pfizer analysed data from 46,000 people on the original clinical trial, exactly six months after their second dose.
It also looked at 800 trial participants in South Africa and concluded the vaccine was equally effective against the variant identified there - despite laboratory studies suggesting people's antibodies were less effective at attacking this variant.
"The high vaccine efficacy observed through up to six months following a second dose and against the variant prevalent in South Africa provides further confidence in our vaccine's overall effectiveness," chairman and chief executive officer Albert Bourla said.

The 28 year old nurse you said said “died within hours” of getting the vaccine had a brain aneurysm 5 days after getting the second shot of the Pfizer Vaccine. I can’t find any information as to whether or not it was concluded the vaccine from 5 days prior played a role in causing that...everything pops up is conspiracy websites regarding the death.
The excess death data proves that the data has not been skewed from day 1. If anything, it proves that Covid killed more Americans than the official death count, not fewer. You and people like you, through either your insanity, inanity or iniquity, are the ones trying to skew the data.

That’s false. 479,050 more Americans died in 2020 than in 2019. Influenza is irrelevant. They died because of COVID. There’s no avoiding that conclusion. Find a new conspiracy theory
Article relies on VAERS. VAERS data does not indicate that a vaccine caused a particular event. VAERS tells you this right on the website.
All a report in VAERS means is that someone got a vaccine and then at some point later, a bad event happened. Are the two connected? That gets investigated separately. VAERS is merely the report of an event taking place at some point after vaccination.
So far, there have been zero investigations of any death in the United States or the UK where a COVID-19 vaccine was determined to be the cause. Zero. Out of 100 million people getting vaccinated in the US alone.

Okay - so nobody who’s been vaccinated with any of the vaccines available have died from an adverse reaction to them. No one.
I agree 100% and have been saying as much for the past year. That’s what makes my stomach uneasy. That’s the conspiracy.
It’s possible that somebody somewhere has, but we have no information to indicate that it’s happened so far. There have been no medical investigations to date that have pointed to a COVID-19 vaccine as the cause of death or a contributing factor.
There have been bloggers making wild claims, such as Hank Aaron and Marvin Hagler’s deaths were from a COVID-19 vaccine, but those claims run directly counter to the medical examiner’s findings and the statements of the family who all stated explicitly that their deaths were the result of natural causes, consistent with their medical history. No indication of vaccine related complications or problems.
Basically, people make wild claims, then the FakeBook echo chambers amplify them, the conspiracy bloggers pick it up, and suddenly there’s a freight train of fact-free nonsense getting behind wild claims that don’t match observable reality. And when the family says it was natural causes? Well, clearly that must mean they’re part of some vast conspiracy.
As if some wealth Italian woman (Marvin Hagler’s widow) would give a damn about some US based conspiracy theory.
