No offense, but you should seriously try to lose weight. About 78% of Covid deaths occurred in ppl who were obese or seriously overweight. Losing weight would be far more efficacious in fighting Covid than a vaccine IMO.
I have eaten salad for lunch and dinner every day for the past 2 weeks. The problem I have is that I have two blown out disks in my back. Ever had blown out disks? Not a great time. Hell, I used to run 5 miles a day. I can barely walk a mile and a half now. Coughing and sneezing will about put me on my knees. If I got Covid, it would be the death of me.
So, what in this instance is the criteria for “case”? Serious illness or worse? Symptomatic illness or worse? Antibodies to the virus found, as opposed to antibodies to the spike protein?
I’m not challenging the study, just BBC’s “journalism”.

How many people have died after NOT RECEIVING the vaccine... some within hours of NOT RECEIVING the vaccine? Are those deaths connected to NOT RECEIVING the vaccine?

The 91% efficacy rate comes from comparing the total outcome differences (six months after receiving their 2nd shot) between the folks in the clinical trial who received two placebo shots and the folks in the clinical trial who received two doses of the actual vaccine. I KNOW, MATH IS HARD.

Dude, it’s the 46 thousand folks who were in the Phase 3 clinical trial. I KNOW, READING IS HARD ALSO. You can query and see the demographic makeup of that study if you want.

Do they just assume this, or is the exposure equally controlled?
Has this been reproduced by an independent group to verify the results?
Did members of both groups have equal vitamin D blood levels?

That particular figure is not one that is easy to fake, since they have names and numbers, and local folks can look at them.
You also have no basis for specific disbelief of it.
