Not today, Satan!
It seems like Nike should appreciate that protection by trademark law is racist and must cease immediately.
The law of the jungle contains no such provisions.
The first dragster Don Garlits built had a modified Buick straight 8. He made good $$$ racing it and led to him building many more successful drag cars. GM never went after him legally. On the other hand companies that make and sell reproduction parts for the old classics need permission from the auto makers to use their trademarks and logos on those parts.
What authority or ability does a black-robed tyrant have to “order” something to not be sold?
It was literally like two drops from each member.
I don’t agree. Say I buy twenty brand new pickups and sell them with a devil logo.
if you buy one or 100, you own them and may resell them as you please I think.
Like I said, really interesting question. It certainly isn’t as clear-cut as if it would be if he were manufacturing these shoes and slapping Nike logos on them.
Legal means what ever the lawyers and judges want it to mean at the time I guess.
Judge is just being paid to stop the nike embarrassment.
Who are the chumps that are gonna fork over the big blood money? Takes a special kinda dope that will buy this atrocity for footwear.
Actually, I thought it was a Nike sponsored shoe.
not a lawyer and just making a guess. I think its a mater of scale and the fact that lots of people thought niki was partners in this. . I do know that there are companies that modify cars like the Porch and there is usualy no trademark issues. my guess is that if one of those companies advertised there car as Satan’s porch and advertised blood in the paint all the while leaving the impression that porch was a partner there would be a suit about the porch label.
Generally agreed about babies although I don’t find it immoral if the babies were not murdered by the sellers. For example cadavers are used for medical research and parts, with permission, organ donation of course. And there are blood and plasma places that sell but it’s all for medical use and strictly regulated.
Donation of human hair which is quite dead has strict regulations.
It’s a biohazard...not to mention ethical concerns.
