Republican States Push Back Against Critical Race Theory
The Epoch Times ^ | March 31, 2021 | Peter Svab

Republicans in at least seven states have introduced proposals that would ban the teaching concepts of the quasi-Marxist critical race theory (CRT). The measures range from banning government agencies from conducting training based on the theory to prohibiting the incorporation of the concepts into school curricula.

The efforts follow President Joe Biden’s reversal of last year’s executive order by President Donald Trump that banned federal agencies, contractors, subcontractors, and grantees from instructing their employees to follow CRT tenets.

CRT has gradually proliferated in recent decades through academia, government structures, school systems, and the corporate world. It redefines human history as a struggle between the “oppressors” (white people) and the “oppressed” (everybody else), similarly to Marxism’s reduction of history to a struggle between the “bourgeois” and the “proletariat.” It labels institutions that emerged in majority-white societies as racist and “white supremacist.”

Like Marxism, it advocates for the destruction of institutions, such as the Western justice system, free-market economy, and orthodox religions, while demanding that they be replaced with institutions compliant with the CRT ideology.

Proponents of CRT have argued that the theory is merely “demonstrating how pervasive systemic racism truly is.”

A convention of states should’ve been called as soon as Hussein Obama assumed the presidency, if not before.

The Tenth Amendment must be reclaimed.

As it is, the inmates are in complete charge of the insane asylum.

Agreed. Unfortunately, the R’s are too cowardly to try the most obvious thing.

The only institution compliant with CRT, is the “New Racism” or “Identity Politics”. CRT gives IP the cudgel to beat any upstarts into the ground, regardless of what the truth is. Facts are Racist! And the Left and their slaves are welded to that kind of insanity.

Anyone who is subjected to this quasi-Marxist critical race theory (CRT) training should immediately file a complaint with the EEOC.

They are clearly creating a hostile work environment for white employees. There should be thousands of the cases filed by now. We need to use their system against them.

As someone who has sat through countless hours of EEO training CRT training is clearly illegal.

Teaching in schools should be limited to that which is provably true or else labelled as opinion. CRT is nothing but a racist conspiracy theory.

The article states: Only six states are mentioned in the article: Fl, NH, WV, IA, AR, OK. What is the seventh state? Did I miss one?

The article says ‘at least seven.’ I know legislators here in Idaho are working on such a bill.

Some of us at Free Republic have advocated for several years that Republican-run states should change the curriculum in their public schools and public universities. It is about time that some are now finally starting to take some action.
