I could be wrong, but I think they have absolutely no evidence at all. But I don't think they care.
Republicans get thrown out of Congress for just being accused of this kind of behavior, while Democtats who are acutual pedophiles get promoted....
Gaetz responded to this today. Basically, he said that a former member of the Justice Department tried to blackmail him though his Dad. Gaetz and his family went to the local FBI in Florida. They had his Father wear a wire and he recorded the guy doing it.
According to Gaetz, the leak of this story was to get ahead of what the tapes will show.
The deep staters don’t give two shits whether the accusations are valid... they only care whether they’re EFFECTIVE.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but even if this is true, it would be icky and morally wrong, but not illegal if we’re talking about a 17 year old right? Based on age of consent? The real scandal would still be the blackmail.

There are those sources again. Personally even if true I don’t care. To me a 17 year old is hardly a naif. As long as coercion, threats, or other illicit means were not used to obtain “consent” I believe consent is just that. Yes I know the law sees it otherwise. Yet a 17 year old is considered able to consent to sex with somebody who is closer in age. They were even considered (until recent changes in law) old enough to contract a marriage. They certainly are considered mature enough to get an abortion. So I see this as a smear job and attempt to destroy a Trump loyalist. Legalities be hanged.
