The smallpox vaccine is 95% effective. Not 100%.
The polio vaccine gets close, but only after 4 doses.
They do, actually. About 94% of the time in the case of the Pfizer vaccine according to data from Israel: https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-pfizer-israel-int/pfizer-biontech-say-data-suggests-vaccine-94-effective-in-preventing-asymptomatic-infection-idUSKBN2B31IW
Are these vaccine breakthroughs with the mRNA vaccines or the J&J?
Hard to believe an mRNA vaccine could cause a vaccine breakthrough.
Not the internet - Facebook and Twitter.
The ultimate irony is that this isn’t a new phenomenon. Papers and magazines have always printed garbage and that’s why you had an evolved “journalist” career that would verify things before putting pen to paper and that why (at least when I went to school) we were always taught to verify things that we read and not to take it at “face value”
With the internet we’re back to “blast” publishing and yellow journalism because clicks sell!
Effectively gossip.
RE: Meaning 5% of those, fully vaccinated, will still get symptoms.
But NOT get sick or die <-— That’s what everyone needs to understand.
You’ll note from this very fine and very non-hysterical report that most of those “tested” had NO SYMPTOMS.
It isn’t the symptoms that count, it is only the positive tests that count.
Citing symptoms wouldn’t create enough panic to keep the spotlight on the purveyors of fear.
No.
And since there is no accurate test (as FReeper Ransomnote has demonstrated time and time again here on FR), then...well...you do the math.
No. The idiots who write this stuff and get all “doomed” out, don’t seem to have a basic understanding of how their own bodies work.
And then, people with less intelligence run around waving the article as if it “means” something.
We need a “Great Reset”, but not the one these people are thinking about.
“There is also the “promise” that it is a 100% guarantee that fully vaccinated folks will not die of Covid.”
It is near 100% effective against dying from the disease. No responsible authority uses the word “promise”. Obviously. Using such a characterization, is a mischaracterization.
You promised not to do that. (Well you never actually said that, but it could equally be implied, using the same license.)
So two out of more than a million vaccinated, have died after testing positive for COVID. Maybe because of COVID, maybe just coincidentally with COVID, maybe false positive for COVID. Both were in their eighties, with other serious medical conditions.
Since the vaccine does not make people immortal, we can expect that more will die - vaccinated or not.
One thing is for sure - the death rate from COVID among those fully vaccinated, is only a tiny fraction of that among the unvaccinated - less than 1%, from the controlled, peer-reviewed studies published so far.
Accuracy at any time during this farce is a total lose. It is done to keep the population scared.
“All known science (before magickal COVID) was that you’re not contagious if you’re symptomless - vaccine or not.”
How about HIV? Tuberculosis, Typhoid, Chlamydia, or Cholera? They, and many other diseases have long been known to be transmitted by asymptomatic carriers.
And then people with even LESS intelligence adopt the latest trending Fauci/Psaki catch phrase and intersperse them into postings on FreeRepublic so they can sound all 'sciencey' and whatnot.
Its up to those of us of superior intelligence to remind them who they are.
A breakthrough isn’t caused by a vaccine. A breakthrough occurs when a person is vaccinated, but their immune system either doesn’t respond well enough to the vaccine to establish strong immunity, or the individual’s immune system is compromised somehow.
This is why we still have a lot of pneumonia deaths each year despite having a pneumonia vaccine. Those deaths happen because some other infection renders the person so weak that they can’t fight off the secondary pneumonia infection even after having been vaccinated against it. Works the same as immunity gained from surviving an infection. You can have COVID-19 and recover only to get it again later if your immune system didn’t react much to it or your immune system isn’t functioning effectively. Same as any other disease.
Naw. Fake news.
Ask any resident FReeper vaxxer...

Touche'. Nailed it.
I would add "if it doesn't do the job of preventing the spread..."
I would guess 0.01% is less than the testing error rate.
And since there is no accurate test (as FReeper Ransomnote has demonstrated time and time again here on FR), then...well...you do the math.
Here are two good articles about why the PCR test is invalid and does not indicate illness, according to the test's inventor:
RE: if the vaccine is 95% effective doesn’t that mean 1 in 20 are still going to get Covid ?
The vaccine is not a 100% guarantee against infection. However, the “promise” is that even if you do get infected, it will be either asymptomatic or mild, which means vaccinated people still need to observe all the necessary masking, social distancing, etc. protocols.
There is also the “promise” that it is a 100% guarantee that fully vaccinated folks will not die of Covid.
Good point, Thanks :)
And all of those except tuberculosis are NOT AIRBORNE transmitted (as I pointed out)
Tuberculous is, as you know, not a virus but a bacteriological infection.
