A fed-up Floridian is calling for a million state residents to march on April 10 to “mark that date with a celebration of freedom.”
“You are invited to the Million Maskless March and Mask Burning, Saturday April 10, 2021 at 3pm at the Corner of A1A and Las Olas in Ft Lauderdale!,” writes protest organizer Chris Nelson, who reportedly has “organized viral flash mobs at chain stores that re-popularized Twisted Sister’s protest anthem ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It.'”
“April 10 marks one year of mask tyranny in Broward County and we will mark that date with a celebration of freedom! It will feature recognition and prizes for those who have faithfully endured this last year, addresses from local leaders and activists and most importantly (and fun) a mask burning!” Nelson wrote.
The protest organizer says he’s got permission from authorities.
“The mask burning is in full cooperation with local law enforcement and will be done in a safe and controlled manner. Following the mask burning we will March north on A1A, make a sharp left at Seabreeze and march back to where we began. The event will be over by 5pm,” he wrote
Nelson also said, “Signs are VERY important. Signs with three to six BIG BOLD WORDS are the best. “MASKS ARE SLAVERY”. “NO MORE MASKS”. “MASKS OFF CHILDREN”. “NO VACCINE PASSPORTS” are good examples.” And he stated: “This is a non partisan event but ALL political signs and flags are welcome!”

Why isn’t it being held in the stores that still require people to wear masks? Looks more like a political symbolic event that an action aimed at entities that are continuing to force people to wear masks.
Someone needs to set up a DU account and post this over there so we can watch heads explode.
Be VERY careful that this isn’t a set-up like Jan. 6 was.
It will be interesting to see Florida’s Covid stats in May, especially in and around Broward county.
Get REAL!! Store owners and managers have a perfect right to demand that people wear masks in their stores.....it’s PRIVATE PROPERTY!

This has the trappings of a liberal set-up; a giant photo-op to show "Nazis" burning masks just like the Nazis burned books. The photos and videos will be plastered on every media source; news and social.
This is going to be bad optics used to make people look like "Nazi" troglodytes.
If you don't want to wear a mask, don't but stay away from these events because you will be doxxed and vilified.
Sad. It really is sad what we have become. I will never mask myself. I will never get used to seeing people driving alone or walking around with a mask. It’s not normal, natural and not necessary. Yes , private property owner s have that right. We are into year 2 with this farce. I am real as they come.
