A court already held that the CDC does not have the power/authority to issue the moratorium in the first place. Pretty bold of them to extend it after getting that warning. Its like they know that the laws dont apply to them or something. /s

In a case in the 1930s, the US Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of a mortgage enforcement moratorium. The same reasoning as in that case likely controls the issue of a rent moratorium.
