The Fort Hood shooting wasn’t about the jizya but it was about what he understood meant being an ethical Muslim as backed by widely available literature published by Muslims for Muslims. The subsequent reports whitewashed that pretty much out of mention.
Other than Nidal Hasan who killed 13 and wounded 30 fellow soldiers in 2009, none that were reported.

If you’ve never seen them, or not seen them recently, Stephen Coughlin’s series on Islam, jihad and the response by the West is very worthwhile.
His wisdom point is that we can avoid getting into useless discussions about what is the real Islam and instead focus of what widely available books on sale in Islamic bookstores , books that are written by Muslims for Muslims to teach them how to be good Muslims and which some with, in at least the Sunni world, the highest bling of Islamic scholarly blessing.

The poster I was replying to asked if there were any killings by muslims in the US military. Two so far with Hasan K. Akbar.
Jizya was not mentioned by the poster, and makes little difference to the victims under which Islamic ‘theology’ they are murdered.
Forget those books and go to the horse’s mouth - read the 5 holy books: the koran and the interpretive books necessary to understand the koran - Talibari, Muslim, Isaq and Bukhari. This is all the information any one needs to understand Islam.

There are also excellent histories on the Islamic conquests for Medina to Mecca, to all of North Africa, to the ME, to India, and into Europe; these are necessary to understand just how strong the push of forces conversion has been over time.
Also people need to understand that like today, Islam aims to destroy all things not mentioned in the koran; historically Islam destroyed both Classical Western Civilization and Classical Christianity; when one reads that such and such a work form antiquity is lost, it is lost because it was not among the works chosen by various muslims to survive - the rest they destroyed.
If you rely on muslim writings on the koran, the chances are nearly 100% that you will encounter a lie or many lies about the meaning, nature, and origin of the cult. One clue you are being lied to is the mention of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount as the place where Mohammad “ascended”.
A short cut can be found in reading Mein Kampf which is based on the totality of Islam.
Sunni Islam wants to convert and conquer the world, returning it to the 7th century;
Shiia Islam 12ers (the ruling Iranian mad mullahs) what to bring the 12th imam out of the well he climbed into in the 7th Century - who will then lead his forces to bring the entire human race to paradise, aka human extinction.
