Stop Critical Race Theory Before It Destroys America
The Epoch Times ^ | 26 Mar 2021 | Roger L Simon

Posted on 03/27/2021 3:45:16 PM PDT by Rummyfan

The U. S. Civil War was an extraordinary and unique event in world history. For the first and only time a country sacrificed hundreds of thousands of its own citizens in a righteous fight to end the evil of slavery.

That fight had begun years before with many heroes risking their lives, but the war was the moment of truth. Slavery would be abolished or the country would cease to exist. Good prevailed.

Since then, the struggle for racial equality has continued and, despite many twists and turns, some extremely disheartening, has generally headed in the right direction… until now.

Something called Critical Race Theory intervened to turn our society around, head it back toward racial enmity and, to be blunt, destroy our country, and with it our common humanity, unless it is stopped.

Unlike slavery, which was overt, CRT is a growing cancer infecting our schools, media, entertainment, and businesses. It is everywhere, often unseen and more often not even known or recognized by a large percentage of the public, so all the more dangerous.

Many definitions and explanations of Critical Race Theory exist, a literal phantasmagoria of intellectual obfuscation, the stuff of theses and “studies,” some of it quite brilliantly, if sophistically, executed, but CRT boils down to something quite simple.

Martin Luther King’s justifiably famous dream that the day will come when we judge each other by our characters and not by the color of our skins has been turned on its head.

The color of our skins is to be the be all and end all of our existences, no matter what, no escape. That is what determines our position in life and our fate, beyond class and, apparently, beyond our character as well (i. e. how we actually behave and what we have done).

False premise. The war was not over slavery except as an incidental issue. It was a defining moment over state’s rights. Slavery could have been solved outside of this overriding issue.

Want to stop it?

Stop giving a crap about the Woke getting offended and make a point of offending them MORE, laughing at them, and mocking them.

If they want a statue down put another up, if the want a name changed take back the name of something already changed, and so forth.

Won’t be long before MLK is declared an “Uncle Tom” who must be cancelled.

Critical Race Theory is really just Communism. What are examples of how it has been defeated? Such examples exist. None of them bear any resemblance to what modern conservatism has become. Franco? Pinochet?

Critical Race Theory is the same mumbo jumbo from the usual suspects. No different from the Frankfurt School from decades ago.

The war between the states was about slavery in the same way that the American Revolution was about tea.

Critical Race Theory, sometimes known as Black Liberation Theology, is merely one of the many tools of the socialists/communists at work in the U.S. today.

They usually, if not always, identify an oppressed group to champion against the oppressors (the oppressors being believers in representative government and free markets).

One doesn't have to be "in" the oppressed group as long as one sides with (identifies as) members of the oppressed group.

What is required to defeat socialism/communism is that it must be exposed for what it is...a specious means for establishing a totalitarian government by power-hungry elites.

“False premise. The war was not over slavery except as an incidental issue. It was a defining moment over state’s rights. Slavery could have been solved outside of this overriding issue.”

A brazen oversimplification.....States rights yes but the states rights issue was brought to a festering head by the question of slavery.

To say that slavery was just an “incidental” factor of the civil war is a gross mischaracterization..

It’s too late. Kids have been being taught critical theory instead of critical thinking by the public school system for a generation or more now..

We are now in the moment where votes do not matter... the next step is bullets... the only question left is how long this moment between the two will last

Well at least they haven’t lied with the name. They could have named it Law of Critical Race.

Since it is called a theory, they are admitting that they don’t have all of the facts needed to call it ‘law’, like the ‘law of gravity’.

“Stop Critical Race Theory Before It Destroys America”

Isn’t that the same goal of antifa and BLM?

While the writer may be right in his conclusion concerning Critical Race Theory he really needs to go back and re-take High School American History. The Civil War, like virtually every War, was fought for economic concerns.

Of course if he/she graduated from a public high school in the last 30 years or so, he is only regurgitating what he was taught by the liberal education machine.

States rights were about the rights of states in the territories. To extend slavery into the west. So slavery wa the main issue. No other issue could inflame passions as much as slavery.

With all due respect, the Civil War was fought for power and money, as most all WARS are fought.

Now the governments who call for a war always sell it based upon some egalitarian cause. But in the end wars are about money, power, and land (territorial control).
