California foster parents are being asked to care for a staggering 26 or more unaccompanied migrant children per household, DailyMail.com can reveal.
On March 12, foster parents Travis, 45, and Sharla Kall received a voicemail amid the crisis at the Mexico border. 'This is an emergency message, please respond to this urgent message from the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD),' the voicemail obtained by DailyMail.com said. 'CCLD would like to know how many available beds you have to serve additional youth.'
CCLD is a division of California's Department of Social Services that oversees foster home and care licensing. The couple received an email with the same urgent message, containing links for them to communicate how many available beds they have - ranging from zero to '26 +.'

Funny you should mention that. Several years ago, my former boss’ grandchild was seized the the Florida Department of Children and Families. The boss’ daughter was shacked up with a guy on probation. The guy on probation got into a bar fight and the probation officer ordered him to take a drug test. (Totally legal here and expected.) The man refused. The sheriff raided their house with a lot of men and seized the child, turning the child over to DCF. My boss’, the child’s grandfather wanted to take custody. The DCF refused. (There’s an awful lot of money involved giving DCF a financial reason to keep the kids.) DCF would not let him see the child or find out where he was.
My boss hired an attorney. The attorney used a private detective. The detective found the child and the child and many others were with a known pedophile. My boss, the attorney and the PI had a meeting with the manager (not sure if that’s the title) of DCF. The attorney said, approximately, I want that child here in one hour flat, or I am going to hold a news conference. The PR disaster you are looking at will make all those dead children from last year look like nothing at all. The child arrived in a deputies’ car with minutes to spare.
The woman manager, in a haughty voice, told my boss, “Well, the money won’t start for at least two months.” He said, “what money?” Turns out they paid him $2500 per month to take care of his grandson. (Yeah, there’s lots of money involved in this. Funny thing, before DCF, which was created in the eighties, if they arrested someone, they put that person on the phone and the arrestee found somebody to watch the kids. Then, they created DCF, and THEY watch your kids. Except, when they don’t and the kids get murdered, as had happened the previous year.)
Yeah, I was concerned about the other kids with the pedophile, but my boss said there was nothing he could do. DCF had too much power to screw with his custody and the lawyer said it wasn’t a fight he could fight. And, no, I don’t know why. But my guess is that the power of a prosecutor would be required and they have no desire to mess with another state agency.

Farming out undocumented children happened on BO’S watch too. It seemed that they disappeared into thin air. Very unsettling then and now.
