On a February morning, in a courtroom armored with Plexiglas shields meant to stem the spread of virus, Philadelphia prosecutors offered updates on hundreds of cases that lawyers said challenge basic ideas about how justice is served.
On the one hand, the victims β small business owners and big corporate chains alike β had sustained millions of dollars in damage during last yearβs uprisings against police brutality. On the other, the accused perpetrators were so impoverished virtually all qualified for public defenders, meaning theyβd likely never be able to pay restitution.

Prosecution? ππππππ
I think “restorative justice” is where the perp doesn’t serve any prison time if s/he says s/he is really sorry and won’t do it again. Pinky promise.

Pennsylvania is going to need to somehow secede from Philadelphia, Michigan from Detroit, Georgia from Atlanta, England from London, France from Paris, and so on. Otherwise, sorting this stuff out is going to end up in a bloodbath. Enoch Powell’s “rivers of blood” is taking a little longer than he thought it would, but it’s coming.
Unfortunately, the smart set is trying to figure out how to get us to eat bug paste because of the weather or something. A populace that bought into this “pandemic” is very likely to eat bugs if/when told to eat bugs. There are serious problems vthat nobody with any power is taking seriously.
Small businesses will be fleeing the Democratic cities in droves—the Democrats play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
The few small businesses that haven’t been killed off in the last year.
Restorative justice means we need to put more crackers in prison to even it out.

Restorative justice means - we only punish whyte peeps
Restorative Justice makes things better for criminals.
And apparently that’s the goal.
Wikipedia defines ‘restorative justice’:
Restorative justice is an approach to justice in which one of the responses to a crime is to organize a meeting between the victim and the offender, sometimes with representatives of the wider community. The goal is for them to share their experience of what happened, to discuss who was harmed by the crime and how, and to create a consensus for what the offender can do to repair the harm from the offense. This may include a payment of money given from the offender to the victim, apologies and other amends, and other actions to compensate those affected and to prevent the offender from causing future harm.
A restorative justice program aims to get offenders to take responsibility for their actions, to understand the harm they have caused, to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves and to discourage them from causing further harm. For victims, its goal is to give them an active role in the process and to reduce feelings of anxiety and powerlessness. Restorative justice is founded on an alternative theory to the traditional methods of justice, which often focus on retribution. However, restorative justice programs can complement traditional methods, and it has been argued that some cases of restorative justice constitute punishment from the perspectives of some positions on what punishment is.
