ATLANTA — Federal prosecutors have accused a Georgia Tech professor of violating customs laws to bring Chinese nationals into the country to conduct research at a New Jersey information technology firm.
Prosecutors say Gee-Kung Chang, a 19-year professor at Georgia Tech, also directed funds from the Institute to pay the Chinese nationals for research work they did at ZTE USA, the American subsidiary of the partially state-owned Chinese company ZTE Corp.
“The defendants allegedly abused the visa program and deceived Georgia Tech to bring researchers into the United States,”
Prosecutors claim Chang took advantage of his role at Georgia Tech, a designated sponsor for the U.S. State Department’s J-1 Visa program offering cultural and educational exchange opportunities, to arrange for the foreign nationals to obtain and maintain visitor status in the U.S.
The visas were not intended for employment. But in documents he submitted to the State Department, prosecutors say Chang indicated that the Chinese nationals would be working with him at the Institute. But they instead traveled to and resided in New Jersey where they worked with Yu, and even received salaries from Georgia Tech while working at ZTE, prosecutors said.

Guessing the intentionally-manufactured Southern Border CRISIS gives the CCP cover to infiltrate even deeper into the corrupt leftist institutions and government. The real story.
19 year old PROFESSOR??? Some of OUR 19 year olds are in the 11th grade!
Professor and/or spy...?
Is it only fraud charges that he faces?
Any espionage charges?

LOL!!! I feel SO dumb!

I’ve wondered if all of this sudden concern about anti-Asian sentiment is really geared toward squelching concern over CCP theft of intellectual property...
Trump had been working to do something about that.
19 year tenure not 19 year old.
I read it the same way first time.
Nineteen years in the country on a visa? WTF?
19 years as a professor
Professor of what???

Just send him to Gitmo, and the PLA will never ask about him again.
He must be quite a prodigy.
"You are such a super lady...and I'm so lonely."
Don’t trust the Chinese imports, especially the humans...
The Communists in Russia and China have no timetable.
They are patient and understand that the eventual takeover of the “West,” may not take place in their lifetime.
Nineteen years living and “teaching” at GA Tech is acceptable to this “Spy in waiting.” Show this spy how our Justice system should work!
I’m wondering how we know the prof is really 19.
