What with the police being defunded, how will the gun ban be implemented and enforced? Soldiers going door to door ransacking each and every house (because you never know otherwise)?

How are they going to do that when they are promising massive cuts in the military as well???
They seem to have toned down the defunding rhetoric. Maybe a deal was made that they backoff of defunding in exchange for Police Departments backing any and all gun control legislation.
If you use a gun in self defence of life or property the government will know who to target. All they have to do is sit back, allow crime, and then prosecute the gun owners.

Oh no..the good, hard working, patriotic agents of the ferrule gubbamint will rifle through store yellow sheets, demand credit card companies and banks hand over records pertaining to ammunition, firearm and accessory purchases from various websites and brick and mortar stores.
Then the rest of the cops still on the job (if you happen to live in leftist jurisdictions) will send out letters demanding you provide an inventory or an account of the purchases from “this date to this date”. The document will have in fine print...”These statements are true and correct under penalty of perjury”.
If you attempt to hide articles, if ever caught with them, you will not only have them confiscated and charged with illegal possession of a particular firearm, you’ll also face charges of false statements on a government document.
Also likely gun buybacks...a sort of amnesty program. You’ll have until whatever date to turn in a particular weapon/mags/ammo. After this date, you’ll be considered violating the law...you’ll be an outlaw at this point.
So once law abiding citizens...magically become outlaws.
There won’t be enough soldiers and police to pull that off completely before people start banding together and fighting back.
