In a March 24 blog, Gallup CEO and Chairman Jim Clifton reported that 42 million adults in Latin America and the Caribbean said they would like to immigrate to the United States.
"There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them if they would like to move to another country permanently if they could," wrote Clifton.
Twenty-seven percent of those adults said "yes." That equals roughly 120 million who want to migrate somewhere.
From that group, Gallup asked them "where they would like to move."
"Of those who want to leave their country permanently, 35% -- or 42 million -- said they want to go to the United States," reported Clifton.
"Seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make their move," he added.
"In addition to finding a solution for the thousands of migrants currently at the border, let's include the bigger, harder question -- what about all of those who would like to come? What is the message to them?" wrote Clifton.
The U.S. population is approximately 330 million.

There are almost 8 billion people in the world today. At least half of them would come to the U.S. tomorrow if they could. That isn’t nationalistic bravado, simply recognition of the fact that half of the world’s population lives in conditions that would be considered worse than abject poverty in the U.S.
So how many should we let into the U.S. tomorrow? If the answer is anything other than “all of them,” then we need to decide how many and which ones. IMHO, “whoever makes it across the border alive first gets to stay” is not the best way of deciding either.
RE: At least half of them would come to the U.S. tomorrow if they could.
Why just the USA?
There are the EU nations, Australia, New Zealand and Canada to consider. Hmmmm... All of them majority white!!
42 Million freeloaders looking for reparations checks and stimulus checks. Americans are going to suffer. Pollution is going to rise. Fuel and Home prices are going to skyrocket. Crime aimed at the gringos will skyrocket. Fuel prices are going to skyrocket. Our schools are going to go to hell with Spanish being the primary language. Those killed by drunk drivers is going to skyrocket. Rape and child trafficking is going to be big business. Wages will drop. Cowardice is going to increase while intelligence is going to hit bottom. Yeah. Flush 42 million tons of sh*t here. America is the world’s newest sh*thole, “refugee” camp and these bastards coming in do not respect the gringoes laws. Just the fact alone that 42 million Hispanics want to move to the evil and racist U.S. shows exactly how brain dead those “refugee” morons really are.
...along with 1.6 billion people in Africa.
Let them in. Let’s show the world what happens when there isn’t an American state with its unique culture. Things go south for everyone immediately.
Let’s colonize those countries so the people there don’t have to come here.
Yeah? Well too bad!
Well that’s just it...the majority coming here are poor uneducated and can’t speak english. Further they bring lots of kids and many are single mothers because they know they’ll be taken care of by our welfare system.
Even if this wasn’t so I still am opposed to our immigrating any more at all.
We refuse to do what's needed.
no problem. Allow an equal number of Americans to move to their countries and be eligible to vote and own property and businesses with no stupid restrictions like, ,cant own beachfront.
We’ll turn their countries into something to be proud of and they can stay in America’s welfare cities.
But all that seems to be coming in is human garbage.
