The White headmaster of a Catholic school on Long Island has been placed on leave following reports that he had a Black student kneel in apology last month, calling it "the African way" to apologize.
The headmaster was temporarily removed from his job at St. Martin de Porres School in Hempstead, New York, after parent Trisha Paul went to the local press regarding her 11-year-old son's treatment at the school.

“In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Paul said she noticed her son seemed sad after school one day late last month. When she asked him what happened, he told her he’d been sent to the headmaster’s office for working on an assignment in his Literature class during designated reading time.
Paul said her son’s teacher took the assignment, tore it up, and brought her son to the headmaster’s office. Once there, Paul said, the headmaster told her son to kneel before the teacher in apology.
“I was filled with all different types of emotion,” Paul said. When the headmaster called a few days later to discuss dates for her son’s first communion, Paul said she brought it up.”
I call BS on the whole story.
They should name the headmaster. It’s an all black Hispanic school in an impoverished neighborhood run by the same Brothers as Chaminade.

Absolutely. I have no doubt the kid got into trouble, but the racist left tends to engage in literary license with their stories.

Boy was doing the wrong English assignment. Teacher marched him to headmaster office where he was told to kneel before teacher and apologize. Headmaster, John Holman learned technique from dad if an African student. Only the boy was Haitian. Wrong wrong wrong. Holian resigned.
I know the school. I have done volunteer work at parish for many years. Headmaster was there a while. He admitted he did it. A stupid thing to do in a minority school in this day and age. The school has apologized. He had to go. You kneel before Christ not a teacher.
Let’s just say that historically discipline procedures in Catholic schools were varied, severe and would not be readily understood by outsiders. After nine years children knew how to read, write, do basic artithmetic and had a fear of the Lord.

When a Catholic authority makes a kid kneel before him it’s usually for a different purpose...
If you don’t want to follow the rules, go to a shithole government school where they have no rules.

The Boondocks was a great cartoon lampooning all this BS. There is a great skit where the teacher says “nigga” like the real life teacher. The out of control hoodlum boy plays all sad for the news camera saying how bad it made him feel even though every other word out of his mouth is “nigga”. Very funny show.
