Get a clue, those in the FBI are not America’s friend. Obviously they are quite the opposite and through their demonstrably illegal actions of selective enforcement of the law and their complicity in political crimes and their abject harassment of American patriots, they and the whole of the DOJ are the real American terrorists.

They only pretend to protect from jihad, their real purpose is to be the NKVD of the Democrats.

It’s not possible to reform the completely corrupt FBI.

FBI arrests people before crimes all the time. It’s called a conspiracy to commit.

If the FBI was defunded/disbanded/scattered-to-the-wind, how would we be worse-off?

They have done some good things in the past.

Not an expert, but don't they help localities with crime investigations (and their counterparts in the “state” BIs). Don't they manage DNA testing for rape and murder investigations? And fought against organized crime, etc. Probably any crime that is “federal.”

They have probably also helped fight foreign enemies, too.

In my non expert subjective opinion, they have become political and that is really bad. Seems like politics is more important than putting away criminals. This bad, very bad.

What good is the NICS check for, if not for this? People, who’ve don’t nothing wrong, get denied quite a bit due to some commonality to another person or a data entry error. A buddy of mine gets denied all the time, has learned how to clear it up and takes it in stride. There’s a mechanism to correct it but it’s not worth his time, money and effort.

Anywho.....

They have a guy on their radar due to some relationship he has/had with another person on their radar.

He’s buying a gun.

And they let him.

This is allowed while they have an army of agents going through Facebook and Instagram looking for people that were at the Capitol on 06Jan

The first entity named in any lawsuit should be Christopher Wray.

The FBI is nothing other than establishment political muscle.

Nothing else at all.

They need strong apolitical leadership. Unfortunately politics has tainted the organization.

We should be concerned when an organization as powerful as the FBI uses their power selectively and targets a certain person or group based on politics and at the same time ignores another person or organization because their politics are favorable to the leadership at the time. This is bad.

If Washington D.C. were suddenly vaporized and removed from the face of the Earth, how would we be worse off?

Very true.

And what I’m about to say may be, likely is, Monday Morning QB’ing, but:

Would a denial on his NICS check prevented this?

Would a visit from law enforcement have prevented this?

Would the visit from law enforcement tip off another target so he was allowed to go through with his purchase?

As you stated, there are thousands out there. But the NICS system is set up in such a way that it can be used as an alert.

Hell, they can raid someone’s home on hearsay in some states with Red Flag laws. Colorado being one of them.

https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb19-1177 ...... already a mechanism

The FBI is a scandal ridden agency and has been for a long time.

Yes they can help agencies because they have every hi-tech gadget money can buy, money for informants, and the ability to bring to bear the full weight of the federal government, which most people cannot fight, financially(ask Gen Flynn).

Interestingly, the FBI and DOJ like to brag about how good they are and how they have such a high conviction rate. What most folks don’t know is how the DOJ cherry picks cases they know they can’t lose. Up to and including seating a real jury and having a mock trial, with actors, to see if they can get a conviction. If not, they don’t they don’t go forward.

But.......

Hell, the entire RICO statute is/was a result of the Feds getting spanked in court on a regular basis by the mafia. How do you think they finally got Gotti? His boy snitched. But every time they went after him previously, after he won, they’d enact another part of RICO to close the loophole he and Cutler found.

OBSERVATION -
The FBI knew in advance the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen) and were tipped off by the local sheriff.
The FBI knew in advance the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik).
The FBI knew in advance the Boston Marathon Bombers (the Tsarnaev brothers) tipped off by Russians.
The FBI knew in advance the Garland, Texas, shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi).
The FBI knew in advance the Parkland High School shooter (Nikolas Cruz).
The FBI knew in advance the Fort Hood shooter (Nidal Hasan); and now
The FBI knew in advance the Boulder King Soopers shooter (Ahmad al-Aliwi Alissa).

Wait a minute here; I have it on good authority from none other than Sean Hannity (I have 27 points but can only give you twenty because I run out of fingers and toes) that 99.9% of the FEEBEE guys are good, dedicated law enforcement officers.

Just ask that ass, he will tell you.

We don’t need them. Better to have US marshal service handle interstate crime.

yeah huh, how many of those 99%ers signed up for witness protection when a coup d’etat took place right under their noses?

Zero, that’s how many. They are committed to their careers, not committed to preserving and protecting the constitution.
