Something tells me there is more to this than his attendance at the Rally.

There will come a time - perhaps soon - when he will again be able to serve his country...

If this guy were employed by the FedGov in just about any other capacity, I would be absolutely confident he would prevail in court (presuming there isn’t more to the story than he’s letting on). The employment protections federal civil servants have are ENORMOUS, particularly those protected under collective bargaining agreements.

But, law enforcement officers are largely exempted from many (but not all) of these protections. They’re probably closer to an ‘employment-at-will’ state of employment than any other federal employee.

But, this highlights a huge deficiency in federal labor law: Currently, there are absolutely ZERO federal labor law protections for expressing a political belief or position and only a handful of states extend such protections. If that doesn’t change in the foreseeable future, these kinds of terminations are only going to increase.

Use the liberal laws against them, file an EEO complaint against anyone and everyone associated with your firing... then run the gambit with Civil Suits against the people in HR and the EEO people.
