What do you do in the United States of America when a local business can’t or won’t provide a product or service you’ve requested? Speaking only for myself, I walk out the door and spend my money somewhere else. (Or at least I did, back when businesses had doors you could walk in and out of.) I vote with my wallet. If they don’t want my business, fine. That’s capitalism, and it’s been working pretty well for the last few centuries.
Or at least that’s the way it used to work. But in the 21st century, that’s not enough. These days, a disgruntled customer needs to ruin the proprietor’s life.
Colleen Slevin, Associated Press:
A Colorado baker who won a partial victory at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018 for refusing to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple went on trial Monday in yet another lawsuit, this one involving a birthday cake for a transgender woman.
Autumn Scardina attempted to order the birthday cake on the same day in 2017 that the high court announced it would hear baker Jack Phillips’ appeal in the wedding cake case. Scardina, an attorney, requested a cake that was blue on the outside and pink on the inside in honor of her gender transition…
In opening arguments, a lawyer representing Phillips, Sean Gates, said his refusal to make Scardina’s cake was about its message, not discriminating against Scardina, echoing assertions made in Phillips’ legal battle over his refusal to make a wedding cake for Charlie Craig and Dave Mullins in 2012.
Sounds like it’s time for Colorado to open a second bakery.
If the name Autumn Scardina sounds familiar, that’s because this person has been hounding Jack Phillips for years.

Phillips should sue her ass off for “harassment”, “tortuous interference” re his business/livelihood, and “sexual battery through harassment”.
He needs a battery of lawyers who will put this gender-Nazi bitch back in her cage.
Time for Colorado baker to retire. Bake for fun and friends.
How DO YOU KNOW when they should retire? So I think you are the jerk here...and the AH.
Sod off...!!
No, you are not.
I understand the problems with homosexuality but what are the religious objections to transgenderism?
Because, like you, it is a lie.
Now I understand.
America could easily be a suburb of Sodom and Gomorrah. These people don’t realize that they themselves will be before the Ultimate Judge without a public defender.
“Gender transition” is BS. It’s logically and scientifically bankrupt. It’s also offensive to so many religions. And anyone who would force a cake artist to create something celebrating it is either stupid, evil, or both. This tranny is not a real woman no matter how much it wants to think it is. The emperor has no clothes even if politicians, judges, and common morons say otherwise.
Right- They should be in prison.
Autumn Scardina = Self loathing, garden variety narcissist with deep gender dysphoria and obviously “no life” and, likely, no meaningful relationships. I’m confident that his day to day suffering is far worse than anything he can try to impose upon Jack.
Why would you advise doing just what the Left wants? Every time a traditionalist, esp. a Christian, is silence and or put our of business or realizes economic sanctions or otherwise any harm then it encourages them.
And if anyone had a solid case for victory in this attempt to punish a business for refusing to affirm homosexual relations it is Jack Phillips, seeing as he refused to be complicit in the celebration of a out-of-state "marriage: that is not only contrary to the law of God but (at the time) was also contrary to the highest law of the State. Yet the liberal majority of SCOTUS refused to deal with the unholy bed they created and instead basically just censored CO for acting too mean.
Because he has suffered enough for the cause. Time for someone else to step up.
Not so, for again that is just what the leftist proxy servants of satan want, at the least, and he has a clear strong case which exposes the vengeance of the Left.
