If you often find yourself scratching your head wondering how in the world we got here, look no further than your local schools.
Consider this week’s winner of the “Orwell is Laughing Award” as reported by Chris Rufo of the Discovery Institute.
Mr. Rufo breaks the story as follows: “Scoop: California’s proposed ‘ethnic studies’ curriculum calls for the ‘decolonization’ of American society and has students chant to the Aztec god of human sacrifice. The solution, according to one author, is a ‘counter-genocide’ against white Christians.”
Yep, you read that correctly. They actually said it. The smarter-than-thou folks who are crafting the curriculum for our nation’s most populous state just told you that they now want to teach “counter-genocide” to over 6 million children and teens in California’s public schools.
What could possibly go wrong?
Here’s more detail from Mr. Rufo on the proposed curriculum: “California’s Ethnic Studies Model instructs students to ‘challenge racist, bigoted, discriminatory, imperialist/colonial beliefs ‘and critique’ white supremacy, racism and other forms of power and oppression,’” and to teach young people that the mindset of every single immigrant coming to the shores of early colonial America was “Eurocentric, white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchal, heteropatriarchal, and anthropocentric …”
Wait, you say, I thought immigration was an unquestionable moral good?
Well, not so much if the immigrants in question are of the wrong race. Not if they are Anglo-European. Not if they are White.

And I just waded through an article in the American Legion magazine where this civics and humanities professor at Arizona State complains about lack of funding in high schools for civics, history, and humanities. The culprit, ... STEM. Horse manure.
Parents who truly hate their children send them to Public “Schools”.

Most Americans trace their ancestry back to somewhere else. Students may learn of Odin, but they don’t pray or chant to him in school.

The Aztecs were hated by the other tribes in the area.
When offered the opportunity these tribes eagerly allied with Cortez. Why were the Aztecs hated? Because of their governing oppression and religous practice of sacrificing captives from the other tribes. Cortez’s small army swiftly swelled to something comparable to the Aztecs, Wikipedia claims Indian allies could have been as high as 200,000. (Wikipedia claims Aztec numbers were 300,000.)
All this shows is the utter historical ignorance of the people pushing this.
Even though the Spanish won, in this case they showed remarkable forebearance to Monteczuma’s family. Some of them were enobled by Spanish royal decree. Probably because the King of Spain didn’t like a foriegn policy of regicide. It might give his countrymen ideas! There is a direct ancestor who is a current member of the Spanish nobility.

I’m glad I went thru, as well as my kids, when all they taught was reading, writing and arithmetic. /s
They forget that white people invented killing on an industrial scale. They set the gold standard for killing efficiency.
It’s probably not a good idea to provoke them, they are less than 100 years from that heritage.
I am not in favor of segregation or impingements upon civil rights of anyone of any race.

Here’s a decolonization plan: all malcontents against America OUT. White,black, Asian, or “other.”
Current so called “re-segregation” includes blacks having their own college graduation ceremonies, all black dorms and all black student centers. Their idea.
The black woman in a student meeting in college: “The problem here today is there are too many whites in this room.”
To be more efficient, the segregation could promote repatriation since the black people have stated they can prove they should get reparations for their close relationship to Africa and the Caribbean slaves of the 1800s.
They will not feel like a colony in the US if they are no longer in the US. Decolonization ended.
To repeat: It was THEIR idea to have separate dorms and so on. Plus sanctuary cities and Portland, Seattle and other CHOP “districts no longer part of the United States.” They declared that publicly.

Official Mexican history paints Cortes and Doña Marina (La Maliniche) as the great villains of all time and lifting Cuauhtemoc as a great hero and ‘resistance’ fighter. On the other hand, they are silent on the Aztec’s cannibalism. Go figure.
If you have never read Bernal Diaz’s “The Conquest of New Spain”, I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the history of Spain in Mexico. First-hand account written by a soldier in Cortez’s army.
Yes I’ve read it and aware of Mexico’s view of Cortez & Dona Marina.
