Border jumpers have been at it for over 100 years. When Trump took office, there were an estimated 11 million of them. The liberals created sanctuary cities, DACA, the Solve Act, the Truth Act...and many other tools to protect rights illegals didn’t actually have.
And so Mexicans won’t feel singled out, the first actions for illegal immigration were started with the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 and a few decades later, the Immigration Act of 1917, also aimed at the Chinese.
A bill in 1924 established a compromise between the agricultural industry and nativists and turned into Section 1325 of Title 8 in the U.S. Code, which made it a crime for people to illegally cross the border. Unlawful entry became a federal misdemeanor on the first offense, and a felony on the second. Both charges could result in fines or prison time.
So if this was Trump’s fault, how come the government was concerned about, and made laws concerning the problem, over 100 years before Trump was president? For liberals, history starts one second before the point they are trying to make. Every thing before that didn’t exist. And everything before the next time they need to change something, won’t either.
