Quentin Kidd, the dean of Arts and Sciences at Christopher Newport University, said the embrace of Mr. Trump and his debunked claims of massive voter fraud is the result of a candidate like Chase pushing the field to the right, and of an "echo chamber" occupied by GOP candidates and the base.
"Election integrity is the number one issue to the base. And in a race like this one, that's all you're really talking to," added Virginia Republican strategist David Alvarez.
Kidd predicted Cox or Snyder would win the nomination, but said whoever it is will have a problem appealing to voters statewide after chasing the base on the right to win the convention.
"The question is are Republicans in those competitive states willing to move away from Trumpism enough to be competitive? Or are they going to double down on Trumpism, and in my mind, really hurt themselves in the general?" he said.

While incumbent Northam isn’t eligible for re-election himself due to consecutive term limiting, his old boss Terry McAuliffe is, and he’s running to become the first Virginia Governor in nearly half a century to be elected to two non-consecutive terms. As Governor, McAuliffe had no issue using even the most violent of convicted felons for Democrat political purposes, once bragging that he had re-enfranchised more felons than any Governor in American history.
Now, it would appear his successor and former Lieutenant is taking a page from his book just in time for McAuliffe, the presumptive Democrat nominee for Governor, to face off against a tsunami of support for Republican and conservative causes, a tsunami which has only gained in strength as evidence of severe 2020 Democrat election fraud in Virginia continues to mount.

Virginia is history for the GOP in statewide elections. It doesn’t matter who the Repubs nominate; these elections are decided in the democrat primary.

They never state how much voter fraud is acceptable.
We can make a statement in this election one year before the next one. Put the rats on notice. Put education choice and vouchers on the ballot. Then watch the reaction. If schools are reopened everyone will forget or will they?
