Any mother will tell you that infants love staring at faces. It isn't just parental wishful thinking, either; studies show that babies, even those less than an hour old, tend to stare at face-like images longer than at any other pattern.
At as early as four months, babies' brains already process faces at nearly adult levels, even while other images are still being analyzed in lower levels of the visual system.
The results fit, Farzin pointed out, with the prominent role human faces play in a baby's world.

Same here; mostly I wear a clear face shield on eyeglasses frames.
If I do wear a mask, I fold it up and sit the bendy part on my nose so it covers just my nose and mouth; there’s a slight gap at the bottom so I get air.
Nobody’s given me any flak about it.
I’m severely hearing disabled, don’t know sign language, and must lip-read to understand what people are saying; when I tell someone that, they usually pull their mask down when speaking to me, and put it back when done.
Some idiot was driving about 50 mph on a residential street, flew past a stop sign, and almost T-boned me. I don’t know how I avoided getting hit, but quickly maneuvered out of the way & honked my horn, all the while the guy had no clue. But Mr. Reckless was in the car ALONE, wearing TWO masks, one cloth, the other an N-95. So this genius is so concerned about dying from Covid, yet has no fear of his delicate bag of flesh being crushed to death from the impact of of his 2500 lb car slamming my 2 ton truck at a relatively high speed. People are senseless.
AND the damage to the immune systems. Infants and children get dirty, put gross things in their mouths, wrestle with others all of which build their immune systems. What happens when they get a regular cold after two years of isolation?
Even my dogs hate the masks. Any dog owner knows they read our faces. Mine go nuts when someone wears a mask.

I don’t wear a mask in the store. Why should I?
In CA they harass you no end if you don’t. Even worse, our local supermarket got an $11,000 fine for employees catching COVID! They found they violated some of their stupid rules. The funny thing is that they have been by far the most diligent of all the local stores in enforcing the (very stupid) rules.
