You are a premature merger. Do you also enjoy forming rolling roadblocks?
those are morons writing articles to attempt to justify their little child mentality of taking cuts... If you jam yourself up into the front... if you pass dozens of people who already merged, youre a moron plain and simple. the REASON traffic stops is because everyone has to hit the breaks because of the morons cutting in at the merge point. if common sense doesnt tell you this, then nothing else will.
Please put the state somewhere when it isn’t included in the story.
It took a bit to figure it out, as even the paper’s page didn’t identify its location.
Do we ever. First Massachusetts which has a Greenfield also has a Route 9 but not a Road 9. Route 9 misses Greenfield by several towns. The article made no sense to me as a Massachusetts resident.

Nope. I violate it also. Just wasn’t at that time. Just rolling along enjoying the ride. I wasn’t rushing to the finish line, a hot date, a beer with friends, late for a movie, yada, yada.
P.S. I am sure you know some of those .2%ers. They are the ones doing 45 in a 65 zone, blocking the left lane.
If states really wanted to prioritize safety in work zones, they’d suspend licenses for a period of time after one violation.
I’d support that.
Note to states: Talk is cheap.
I believe some states make a second work zone speeding violation a CRIMINAL offense.
Who has time to pay attention when I need to tweet something or read a text.
Yet if everyone merges at the merge point, there won’t be any issues or slamming on the brakes - people know when and where they should expect the other lane to merge into them.
The only issue I have, really, is people who specifically jump into the merge lane just to get ahead by a couple cars. They’re the ones who are dangerous and stupid.
