Kristi Noem Risks Spoiling Star Power With Potential Veto On Male Ban In Women’s Sport
Federalist ^ | MARCH 19, 2021 | Tristan Justice

South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem, who has enjoyed newfound star power within the Republican Party for her refusal to implement pandemic lockdowns, is hesitating on a bill that would bar biological males from participation in women’s sports.

The South Dakota legislature passed House bill 1217, the “Promote Continued Fairness in Women’s Sports” act earlier this month and delivered it to Noem’s desk on March 10.

Noem declared she was “excited” to sign the bill the same day the Senate gave its approval on International Women’s Day.

More than a week later and under pressure from South Dakota business groups pushing for a veto, Noem has yet to sign the hot-button legislation on her desk supported by a majority of registered American voters and three-quarters of Republicans, according to a recent joint survey by Politico and the Morning Consult.

----

I noted in Kristi Noem's CPAC speech she did not say anything about immigration or globalism.

It appears Noem is under the control of the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations that like the cheap labor express.

If a guy who wants/thinks he wants to be female I say go for it. The caveat would be: he has to have the op in order to participate. Go full female. No turning back.

Does Bruce Jenner still have his package? He’s making millions off it either way.

I read the bill.

To my mind there’s a problem with it, the bit about reproductive function.

If that’s her objection, just remove that language and make it xx and xy. Genetic.

Then sign the bill.

That fact that she considered it for even one minute is troublesome. She’s off the ticket for 2024, as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve heard many “transsexual” people never get surgery to their body to match the gender identity they claim to have.

A good litmus test as to whether she is a Deep State pawn or a Patriot.

Evil is everywhere. Why would businesses conduct economic reprisals against South Dakota for prohibiting biological males from competing in Women’s sports?

Her career will be toast if she caves. Those who push this delusion put the biological women who compete honestly in women's sports at a big disadvantage to some self-deluded males who take female hormones to have a competitive advantage posing as female athletes.

“””Why would businesses conduct economic reprisals against South Dakota.....?”””

The Corporations in America are no longer guided by conservative values.

Just take a look at the millions donated by US Corporations to Black Lives Matter as an indicator of the leftist ideology of corporations today.

Someone is going to hate her no matter what she does. I say it is much better that the 3% hate you than the 50+% that put you in office.

Because corporate America wants to show that they are liberal and want to show they are non-discriminatory and “inclusive”.

This is nothing new. Remember decades ago, the NFL pulled the Super Bowl out of Arizona, because Arizona didn’t at the time have a state holiday for Martin Luther King?

Then there was a more recent effort to boycott North Carolina, which had some law banning transsexual people from bathrooms, locker rooms, etc which didn’t match their biological sex. If I recall correctly, the NBA pulled an All Start Game from Charlotte for that reason.

Politicans should have nothing to do with this.

The women on the teams should refuse the mentally ill “transgenders” by a full on the spot strike.

If the sicko steps onto the field everything stops right there until it is removed.

This just goes to show that corporate America is not conservative and they do not supp9ort Conservative legilation unless it benefits them. This is just an example of why I am now gainst all deregulation and tax cuts for corporate and wealthy entities. No exception! They don’t support us so we don’t support them.
