Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said Friday that Dr. Anthony Fauci was lying to the American people about the need for masks after vaccination.
Paul joined Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson to discuss the heated exchange he and Fauci had during Thursday’s Senate hearing.
Carlson began by thanking Paul for pushing back on Fauci, asking whether there was any science at all behind claims that masks would still be necessary for those who received the coronavirus vaccine.
“There was no scientific evidence presented, there was Dr. Fauci’s opinion, his conjecture that someday there might be a variant that escapes the control to the vaccine and becomes a pandemic and hospitalize us and kills people,” Paul replied, adding, “He thinks it might happen so you need to wear the mask until he’s sure that things that might happen are not going to happen.”
Paul went on to argue Fauci’s concern was not liberty and that government must provide the burden of evidence if they wanted to control people’s behavior.
“I said is there evidence that some new variant, some new strain of COVID is hospitalizing and killing hundreds or even thousands of people in the United States? The evidence is zero,” Paul continued. “There is no proof that when you have been vaccinated or when you have gotten the disease naturally that you are spreading it. If there were, it would be all over the news. There are no news reports and no scientific studies saying that after vaccination that there is some sort of widespread contagion that people vaccinated are spreading the disease. It’s just not true.”
Paul’s concluded that Fauci was likely making a calculated decision to tell “a noble lie.”

I just watched the movie patriot again.
Screw face diapers! Go Rand !!!!!
Screw you Tony you commie !!
For the most part, he is right.
Yes, but it is the wrong kind of worship. Fauci's concept of 'god' is: "We are as gods and might as well get good at it" -- Stewart Brand.
Even worse, if such an evil can even be surpassed, Fauci is also a dystopian -- you, good Freeper, are regarded by Fauci's fellow travelers as a 'stain and a blot upon the planet'. (Of course, you are no such thing.)
So Fauci consigns himself to play games with the press ("I can nudge this down a little" -- Fauci bragging about his self-overregarded agitprop 'prowess' viz herd immunity) while always, ALWAYS focused on punching down on the Silent Majority who supported Reagan, who humiliated Fauci as a young dystopian too-soon promoted to NIAID kontrol in '84, when Fauci deliberately, falsely promulgated that HIV would cross over into the heterosexual populations at the same rate it infects ghey men.
When that prophecy failed to materialize, the blowback was such that he nearly lost his job at NIAID under Bush I; but Klink revived him, which merely reinforced Fauci's heathenism -- God didn't save my job, the Marxists advising Bubba did.
Could be that...could also be that he’s desperate to keep making news to keep himself in the limelight. Once this pandemic is over, he loses the media spotlight.
Agree however we know they are the ones are not smart enough to lead they are nothing but a bunch of gypsies picking pockets.
If Paul is talking about members of Congress then I have to go with Fauci on this one.
The problem is that the moron politicians at the state level then have some basis to continue their UNCONSTITUTIONAL mask orders.
Fauci is loved by MANY DimWITS even though his decisions have killed hundreds of thousands of people.
WHY IS THAT TRUE?
Fully agreed. And I usually try to ignore people walking in the store, and only act to make them leave if one of my coworkers tell me someone entered without a mask.
I view the mask policy as stupid and pointless, especially when I can barely even breathe with them, not to mention is causing my face to break out real bad.
Probably the only thing even worse than them making customers wear the stupid masks is that they force the entire employee staff to wear the masks as well, not to mention forcibly impose extremely broken rules like contactless deliveries at Good Will for example where the donor door people aren’t even allowed to enter the car to help remove items. One person actually got scolded by my boss for “violating” the rule of not entering someone’s car, with said boss even throwing a tantrum and yelling “Corona! Corona! Corona!” and “COVID! COVID! COVID!” And if Texas is of any indication, I’m doubtful that’s going to change even if Kemp DOES fully relax the lockdown mandates (heck, even when he relaxed the mandates and reopened Georgia, the churches still refused to reopen fully, at best only doing so half-way and still requiring us to wear masks and social distancing).
Fear seems to be ruling the day out there.
