Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said Friday that Dr. Anthony Fauci was lying to the American people about the need for masks after vaccination.
Paul joined Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson to discuss the heated exchange he and Fauci had during Thursday’s Senate hearing.
Carlson began by thanking Paul for pushing back on Fauci, asking whether there was any science at all behind claims that masks would still be necessary for those who received the coronavirus vaccine.
“There was no scientific evidence presented, there was Dr. Fauci’s opinion, his conjecture that someday there might be a variant that escapes the control to the vaccine and becomes a pandemic and hospitalize us and kills people,” Paul replied, adding, “He thinks it might happen so you need to wear the mask until he’s sure that things that might happen are not going to happen.”
Paul went on to argue Fauci’s concern was not liberty and that government must provide the burden of evidence if they wanted to control people’s behavior.
“I said is there evidence that some new variant, some new strain of COVID is hospitalizing and killing hundreds or even thousands of people in the United States? The evidence is zero,” Paul continued. “There is no proof that when you have been vaccinated or when you have gotten the disease naturally that you are spreading it. If there were, it would be all over the news. There are no news reports and no scientific studies saying that after vaccination that there is some sort of widespread contagion that people vaccinated are spreading the disease. It’s just not true.”
Paul’s concluded that Fauci was likely making a calculated decision to tell “a noble lie.”

The joke is on Fauci then, since many were smart enough to stop listening to him early last year. He can blather away to his heart’s content; I for one won’t be hearing him.
Perhaps Fauci has the ‘God Complex’ that is found in many ‘health care’ personnel...

This is a great point. Perhaps his theory is ‘if a say two, they will gladly wear one’.
Fauci is bad, but business entities that force customers to wear masks are worse.
They must be stopped immediately from telling people they have to wear masks.
Listen to Rand Paul when he talks about Fauci! Dr Fauci is doinf all this talking and fear mongering because he is making big money at it and because he does not want you to start looking at how he and Dr Baric started this research that they outsourced to Wuhan Lab in 2003.
It’s why they rig elections. They don’t believe we are “smart enough” to elect them.
I’m so freaking tired of reading and hearing that arsehole’s name it almost makes me puke. For the sake of the mental health of all non-leftists here in America, SOMEBODY needs to make that fool slither back into the snakehole he came out of!
My wife got past a guard post at one of those Ulta stores and was tracked down and asked her to put on her mask. Nobody else was even around but the little 20 something just had to "do her job."
My wife turned around and walked out. Pathetic really.
I think Fauci’s worried about after effects of a fairly untested vaccine... that he has not taken the shots and wants everyone to wear a mask to protect him and a few other ‘liberal elites’ who are waiting for herd immunity or a true vaccine.
It doesn’t appear that way in Dallas. Abbott has gotten rid of mask mandates but almost all businesses still requiring to walk in the door. The owners are listening to the CDC which is Fauci. Home Depot says you have to wear a mask even if vaccinated. Sick of it. It should be illegal for businesses to enforce their mask mandates even though I know that will never happen.
Fauxci is spewing what his masters who pay him well tell him to spew. He is not just a liar, he is a puppet.
