Very true, the right to own and not have your property, earnings and savings arbitrarily confiscated is a basic human right which was guaranteed by the first 10 Amendments to our Constitution.

The socialist Democrats are chipping away at these rights as socialists put the state over the individual. They promise equity and equal outcomes which really means government by the elites and the masses must be their servants.

Good article and lots of good posts here. But what does "private property" even mean in a modern age when people live in homes located far from where they work, and serviced by public infrastructure like roads and utilities?

It seems like you've already given up a lot of what private property entails the minute you live a lifestyle that requires electricity, public sewers, and a place to work miles away.

I would make the case that the modern manifestation of "private property" -- i.e., a suburban home that has no capacity to produce anything -- is really far from what private property is supposed to be.
