Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday warned North Korea that U.S. forces are ready to "fight tonight" after the dictatorship condemned military drills taking place in South Korea.
The U.S. and South Korean militaries have resumed springtime drills in South Korea after pausing exercises last February due to coronavirus concerns.
Austin discussed the U.S. military's commitment to "denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" and "the importance of maintaining military readiness" during a press conference Wednesday.
"Our force remains ready to 'fight tonight,' and we continue to make progress toward the eventual transition of wartime Operational Control to a [Republic of Korea]-commanded, future Combined Forces Command," the defense secretary said.
He continued: "While meeting all the conditions for this transition will take more time, I'm confident that this process will strengthen our alliance."

Nope. The Russians are (or perhaps were) in the same boat we are in, and the Chinese are in.
All 3 countries have deep infestations of the Deep State Cabal. The election frauds of 2016/2020 were perpetrated from the DS domestic, with help from lots of DS foreign, including Russia and China.
But, then there are alliance types. In the US, Russia and China, that want nothing like election fraud.
All 3 countries are actively trying to put down our DS’s.
Putin a few weeks ago nationalized the banking, effectively stopping the DS in its tracks. Good for Putin.
Xi is trying to contain and stop the embodiment of DS in China - the CCP.
The DS is most entrenched here in the US - stolen elections, as you refer to. CIA/FBI/parts-of-NSA/DNC/media/hollyweird.
The DS is world-wide, with no real borders within itself. If DS in the US needs some coordination help, they get it from DS elsewhere.
All of a sudden it’s White on Asian hate crimes when just a couple months ago it was an epidemic of Black on Asian hate crimes that was being reported especially in the Bay area. The Left sure knows how to turn things on it’s head for their own advantage.
Russia and China began the so-called "peace mission" series of joint war games in 2005. They claim it's about combating terrorism, but only a fool would believe that, as the games are large scale and increasingly complex. Also in this alliance are Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, and a few other hostile hard left and islamo-nazi regimes.
Recall, Bill Clinton's treasonous ChinaGate scandal began in late 1996...
