I don’t know what it is with our side, if a liberal has a moment of intellectual clarity, we start hero worshiping them. Kind of like all the freepers who praised Lieberman as a great moderate. The only thing he was ever right on was Israel. But then we are the same people who continually vote for politicians who claim to be conservative, but govern like liberals, and tell us we are not smart enough to know the difference.

The ‘nuclear option’ allows for a simple majority on rule changes. Reid used it once for Obama appointments, McConnell used it once to stop the Gorsuch SC nomination I think.
