With House Democrats passing two major gun control bills, the push for gun control moves to the Senate. With all the Senate Democrats and some Republicans supporting more gun control, whether gun control passes Congress depends on if the Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) keeps his promise to maintain the filibuster.
But Manchin is wobbling on that promise. While he previously said that he would “never” undo the filibuster, he apparently is willing to change the rules on what constitutes a filibuster.

Anyone who believes Manchin is anything but a hard core democrat, they haven’t been watching his actions vs his words.

But he does whatever Chuckie tells him to do.

That’s what I was thinking. He’d be picking a really strange hill to die on. Then again, how much future does he have in politics anyway? Maybe one more term or maybe he calls it quits after this one.

The predominate Trump voters of West Virginia had better apply pressure. That seat rightfully belongs to a conservative Republican.

Plenty of people here are JUST FINE with losing their gun rights, after all they instead followed Lin Wood and boycotted (or supported the boycott) of the Georgia Runoffs, thereby giving the Democrats complete control of the Senate (despite Trump visiting Georgia twice and telling Republicans to vote).
But heck, we sure ‘taught the GOP a lesson’ for not supporting Trump against the steal strongly enough. Right?
Am I correct that they need 60 votes to end the filibuster?

imho, Manchin turned out to be just another hypocrite, cowardly Democrat. He talks a good show but when all is said & done, he walks in lock step with all other nasty Dems.....and called his office to give my 2 cents.
