As first reported yesterday by Outkick.com, we have separately confirmed that Cumulus Media and Westwood One has agreed to terms with conservative commentator Dan Bongino to host a daily three-hour show from 12-3pm eastern.
Bongino currently hosts a daily podcast for Westwood One that since March 2020 has been repurposed into a one-hour syndicated show on over 100 stations including 790 KABC Los Angeles and 560 KSFO San Francisco. The new show would air live in the timeslot currently held by Limbaugh on many if not all Cumulus owned Conservative Talk and News/Talk stations.
Bongino is a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent turned conservative pundit and investor in right wing focused digital properties including Parler and Rumble. He has previously served as a fill-in host at WMAL Washington and WBAL Baltimore and multiple syndicated talkers including Sean Hannity.
An official announcement should be made by early next week.

Good choice. I called this a while back, I wish they’d pay me for my incredible insight. :)
Good move.
I haven’t seen Bongino a lot, but he has the personality for a full show. He doesn’t seem to be afraid to confront anyone or any topic, and in fact, if anything he may seem a little too brash for some people, but I think he can polish those sharp edges with a good a good production outfit.
Good news.
I like Dan from what I’ve seen and heard of him.
Talk about having big shoes to fill. There will never be anyone quite like Rush Limbaugh ever again.
I wish thy would alternate- Mark Steyn Monday, Bongino Tuesday, Wilkow Wednesday, Kuhner Thursday, and alternate guests (?) for Open Line Friday (or Mark Steyn again- he’s a great debater)
The Rush replay with reverent guest host format isn’t sustainable.
Interestingly to me is Andrew Wilkow always held the noon to 3p slot. That was a major shadow to operate under and hurt his success IMO.
Was hoping he would see more light, but this Bongino move has a little shock and awe to it. Happy for Dan. Wish him well.
Either Bongino or Bannon would be good.
Limbaugh’s people don’t control it.
WE need to go younger with a fire lit up the ass-kind of talk radio host, and he fits the bill. I dont see any of that in Hannity, who looks and sounds tired.
Many if not all iHeart stations may stay with whatever iHeart/Premiere offers as the successor to Rush
Defections from Rush show so far:
Saga’s WGAN Portland ME, WFEA Manchester NH and WKBK Keene NH to Boston based Grace Curley
Cox’s WSB Atlanta to Erick Erickson
WJAS Pittsburgh to Rose Tennant
And now most or all Cumulus stations to
Bongino
Good call. Interesting choice. Might be a great choice. He is a good guy.
Nice. I love Bongino.
I like Chris Salcedo from Newsmax. Apparently he has a radio show on already, but I really like his temperament and the issues he brings up. Plus he adds some humor once in a while.
I liked Mark Stein in that slot.
I wish we got Dan. Here in ATL we are stuck with Erick Erickson.
I was concerned about Dan’s health but just did a search and came up with this...
I can live with this, Dan is quite good and I wish him luck.
