Mask Mandates Do Not Save Lives

Although some studies have concluded that masks help stop the spread of COVID-19, usually they have failed to replicate real-world situations. A common approach is to evaluate the effectiveness of mask material at stopping the expulsion or intake of the aerosols presumed to be the airborne carriers of the virus. Useful information, perhaps, but at this stage, what we need to know is whether the widespread use of masks is measurably reducing the risk of death from the disease. To continue requiring the use of masks makes sense only if there is compelling data that death rates are lower for people who wear masks than it is for people who do not.

We have no way of measuring whether or how much and how appropriately individuals wear masks, but state mandates that people wear them are predicated on the notion that more people will do so if they are threatened with a fine or punishment. Thus, it makes sense to demand that states with mask mandates have lower COVID-19 death rates than states that don't. If states with mask mandates are not experiencing lower rates than states without them, the citizenry should insist that the burdensome policy of requiring masks be abandoned.

Logic or speculation alone cannot provide a reliable answer to the question of mask effectiveness. Neither can the judgments and proclamations of politicians or even public health experts. What we need is data.

The Data

At this At this URL, it is possible to extract Census Bureau estimates of population for individual states as of July 1, 2020.

The Centers for Disease Control maintains a website that reports the total number of people who have died from COVID-19. Updated daily, the table provides the figures for each state and for the country as a whole. T

Mask mandates is an attempt to defeat Darwin’s Law of Evolution.

Just a way of control. At first fauci says don’t wear masks. Then yes do wear masks I only said that so medical professionals could have them and we didn’t use them all up. That lie alone should have turned people away from listening to him or like him. But somehow the media backs him and you don’t hear about that anymore. Now masks are good. Maybe they keep a tiny bit out of your mouth so I guess they can get away with saying it. But in no way should they be making everyone wear masks. It’s a way of control. The lockdowns are just delaying what’s going to happen, once you lift them and people get around each other it’s gonna spread. It’s all control. I would think a bulk of the people would realize it by now and go about our lives.

Masks are the outward sign of obedience.

Fancy masks are worn by those who don’t mind ‘em.. and hospital masks are used by those who don’t like it but ....

when fauci says how long it will be..
its the time to defy.... it’s a farce and its everywhere!!!

No one will answer...

* What is the life in Hrs of these cheap things we buy or are given?
* What is the physics of a 2 micron virus getting through while it's only rated for 3?

I won't get into the details, but deep dive/interest in engine tech in regards to atomization of fuels has looking at this as not a neophyte, non medical yes, but this doesn't jive with what I know and what takes to atomize at this level, and yes I get it, human respiratory fluids/vapors are not a HC fuel. No one has explained to me how our "system" can do what it supposedly does.

Well-thought article.

Since mid-April, mask “compliance” nationally has remained steady at 83% . Infection rate (number of case of CV-19) has rose, fell, tripled, and is falling.

There is ZERO relationship between wearing a mask and catching the disease.

Not only that, masks have costs — they interfere with breathing and normal human interaction.

Masks put my health at risk...I avoid any business (restaurants, sports events, retail, etc.) that require a mask. The only exception is a grocery store (because I need to eat), but once in the store, I lower it under my chin. They do not need my money, I guess.

Some people want to wear them to make themselves feel virtuous. The “I’m better than you” syndrome.

20 minutes, actually. Once saturated, they are useless for their purpose which does NOT include virus control.

‘Maybe they keep a tiny bit out of your mouth so I guess they can get away with saying it.’

masks would be okay as protection from you coming up next to someone and proceeding to shout, cough, sneeze or heave great sighs for two or three minutes...which of course the crook of your elbow, or a mere handekerchief would acheive just as well, without the appearance of being a physically ill society in the middle of some zombie land...

‘Some people want to wear them to make themselves feel virtuous.’

as illustrated by the myriad college age kids obediently sporting them as they gad about town, even though they are at minimal risk of becoming seriously infected, or of infecting anybody else...you can smell their virtue as you pass by them (after abiding their glares of disapproval...)

sorry, boys and girls, but I will not, repeat, will not, wear a fooking mask outdoors, under any circumstances...

State-by-state comparisons don’t tell the whole story because some cities or counties have instituted mask mandates even if their state has not done so.

Thanks RACPE.
Now that the Washington Post has burned Fuchs down, there is still unresolved business. NBC, ABC, USA Today, and CNN all claim to have independently verified Fuchs’s story (read The Real Scandal Behind the Washington Post-Trump Scandal). Though other outlets have now flagged the inaccurate reporting, CNN, naturally, has stealth-edited their stories to give the appearance that they were correct all along. Pretty shameful… or it would be shameful if they didn’t already employ Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, and Chris Cuomo. The rewrites of the stories all finger Fuchs as the source, but their original reporting claimed independent verification. It is unclear whether Fuchs was the anonymous source to multiple outlets, whether other anonymous sources were carrying forth the same lies, or if the other outlets simply took the Washington Post reporting at face value and lied about having corroborated the story... One final note. If the Daily Caller or Free Beacon or even the Washington Examiner had pulled a bullsh** stunt like this, they would be out of business (read The Washington Post Doesn’t Deserve to Exist After Making up Trump Quotes to Own the Orange Man). Facebook and Twitter would have de-platformed them by now (read Based on Brian Stelter’s Own Arguments, CNN and Washington Post Should Be Deplatformed). They would be ritually sacrificing staffers to try to keep advertisers from fleeing, and they would still fail. The Washington Post and Amy Gardner will simply move ahead. They will continue to sling wild conspiracy theories based on uncorroborated single sources, and they will continue to be treated as though they are serious newsgathering organizations.

States with a mask mandate: 13.0 deaths per 10,000 population.

States with no mask mandate: 12.6 deaths per 10,000 population.

First, I must state that I do not believe face diapers work. I am against them for multiple reasons. Second, it must be recognized that he death statistics used in this article are not reliable. They have been manipulated. The method used in this article is not scientific. There are so many other variables.

Here is a rational hypothesis: Given the size of the CCP virus (0.125 microns), it will pass through most face diapers, in both directions. Those face diapers with weak seals and weak filtration will not protect people from acquiring the CPP virus.

The experiment:

1.) Control #1: place Dr. Fauxchi's head within an impermeable and fully sealed casement that allows no air to enter for a period of six minutes. Take observations, primarily focusing on whether Dr. Fauxchi contracts the CPP virus and whether death quickly follows.
2.) Control #2: place all members of the Biden administration and the Senate in a room without any protection and expose them to the CPP virus for 48 hours. Take observations, primarily focusing on whether the test subjections contracts the CPP virus and whether death quickly follows.
3.) Variable: Test masks with different seals and filtration sizes. Take members of Congress and assign the most leftist members with the weakest seals and greater filtration sizes, and members from the freedom caucus with the tightest seal smallest filtration sizes, the expose the test subjects to the CCP virus for 48 hours. Again, observe as in the controls.

I believe this is the way science is to be conducted these days since it includes a healthy dose of politicians. (In reality, if you remove the politicians and replace with randomly selected test subjects, then experiment would work.)
