Race and ethnicity can be tricky topics to discuss, especially in the classroom. But the California Department of Education had no idea how heated the debate would get when it set out to draft a model ethnic studies curriculum for high schools statewide.

Some 30+ years ago, when I still watched 60 MINUTES, they did a story on Dutch Socialism. They mentioned a lesbian barge pilot’s union, and in those proto-PC days, they even treated that as a bit of silliness.
We are living that silliness in deadly seriousness now. There are endless combinations of the aggrieved, and endless Balkanization of our culture, until the knives come out and scores are settled. It’s the socialist way.

Well, according to the article, less than one-quarter of California's 6.2 million public school students are White. Those are children who managed to get born in spite of the tendency of self-absorbed, lazy White people to limit the number of their offspring in order to enjoy a higher standard of living - thus dooming themselves to extinction. (History is written by the survivors.)
The article doesn't supply any figures on children not attending public schools.

I disapprove of this. Therefore it must stop. From now on, no one can say anything about anybody’s history or customs, not ever, never. No one is supposed to laugh, or snicker also. No micro regressions, no macro transgressions, no Marco Polo either! I hate that game. This would save millions in text book costs.
Based on results, most California kids are ignorant in the 3 Rs. So changing what they are ignorant about in History probably is not a big deal.
