It was done back in 2010 and she became one of only two Senate candidates who ever successfully launched and won a write in campaign. Strom Thurmond was the first. In 2010 the Republican Party supported Lisa. Joe Miller won the primary without any support from the Alaska Republican Party. The Alaska Republican Party fully supported Lisa's write-in campaign. In 2022 the Alaska Republican Party will officially seek to support another candidate in the primary.
