I maintain that “resisting arrest” should result in a mandatory 10-year prison sentence. No ifs, Ands, or Buts. Teach that to the kids in school. Show it on all the cop shows on TV — everyone knows the Miranda Rights: “You have the right to remain silent ...” That’s burned in our brains from TV. Well, make it so everyone knows — 100% — if you resist arrest, you get 10-years in the slammer. Right away. Anyone and Everyone. No fancy lawyer will save you.
People just need to behave and comply. If the cop is “hassling” you, you can prove it in court later on. For today?? Just do what the man says.
It didn't happen overnight. Some of these folks were raised to hate cops, hate white people and they want to kill them. It's not too complex. The obese cop even told her she was being videoed. She didn't care, she was hell bent on putting a bullet in him.
