Wearing the completely ineffective mask talisman not only de-humanizes people, it hides their identity. This causes normally decent, even normally kind and gentle people to do cruel things to others -- to act inhumanely toward another person even in a public setting because, of course, they have a self-determined "good reason" to do so.
And because maskers know their gross overreaction to a falsely perceived threat is considered necessary and even appropriate by many others and that they will not be held accountable for the harm they have caused, masked people truly believe that in their fear-filled, ignorant state the rules of civil society no longer apply to them.

Well said! I would add to this, a slight revision to a great quote from Iron Mike Tyson (heavyweight boxing legend, for those too young to remember/know):
"Face masks made you all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it."
Waiting for the Karens to respond with, "but you not wearing a face mask endangers me! It violates MY rights! You don't have the right to infect me with a deadly disease!"
But Karens are too stupid to understand, much less recognize, the hypocrisy and logical inconsistency of what they say, so who cares?
