Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is citing “domestic terrorism” concerns in her latest push to ban AR-15s and other commonly owned semiautomatic rifles.
Breitbart News noted Feinstein’s new ban, the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2021,” was put forward Thursday with at least 34 Senate Democrat co-sponsors.
The bill is designed to ban 205 different firearms, including different variants of the wildly popular AR-15 rifle.
The New York Post reports Feinstein is citing “domestic terrorism” as an impetus for the ban. She said, “We’re now seeing a rise in domestic terrorism, and military-style assault weapons are increasingly becoming the guns of choice for these dangerous groups.”
Feinstein’s legislation would also ban ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
On November 7, 2020, Breitbart News pointed to National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) figures showing Americans own more than 71 million pistol magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds and “79.2 million rifle magazines capable of holding 30 or more rounds.”
The NSSF figures indicate that Americans own nearly 20 million modern sporting rifles, which are firearms that the Democrats categorize as “assault weapons.”
Feinstein’s office released a supplemental fact sheet on her “assault weapons” ban, claiming said firearms are “weapons designed for war [that] have no place on the streets of a civilized society.”

She ought to be in jail for what she’s done for China.
The arms manufacturers should just change the name of the gun to “DEM-15”
>>the National Guard won’t do a damn thing to stop it.<<
Don’t bet on it.
Try to imagine what would happen to a CEO or a top manager of a company who has contracts and makes weapons for the U.S. military and DOD and it’s found this company’s CEO was employing Communist Chinese spies on their staff.
In all seriousness, this looks like a desperate attempt to implement phase one of the takeover - disarm us.
AR-15 is actually great hunting rifle. So is SKS and even AK-47. None of them are suitable for street crime.
And on 4/19/1775 they came for our guns at Lexington and Concord. Everyone in government should be reminded of what happened to the Red Coats on that day.
See my tagline. AR15s have killed fewer than 400 Americans in the 40 some years that they have been available for purchase. How many people have died from swimming pools in that same time period? How many people were shot and killed by a black man with a handgun in that same time period? I’m not sure about the swimming pool question but black men have killed over 250,000 people in the past 30 years and handguns are the most frequently used firearm. I’m not trying to sound racist but I really don’t care if I do because the point is still valid. Middle aged white guys with AR15s have not killed a quarter of a million Americans in the past 30 years but black men with handguns have so why are we so focused on AR15s and the practically non-existent problem of white supremacist domestic terrorists?
Other than citing “domestic terrorism,” it’s the same bill she’s been introducing for years.
...says the woman whose Democrat friend Yee got caught making Chinese arms deals with Filipino terrorists.
This old bag goes on and on, like some wind-up toy. The US tried a “assault weapon” ban for 10 years. An actual after-the-fact study was done and there was no improvement in crime, gun crimes, gun violence, etc. The ban did nothing but incite the crimnals to move to other weapons — and carry on.
There’s no such thing as an unarmed civil society.
You better watch it. Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.
“Nazi Pelosi and Creaky Dianne are perfectly fine with crew-served automatic weapons in the Stolengrad DC Green Zone, though.”
I bet they made sure the NG soldiers have weapons but no ammo.
Kent state?
The problem is the government isn’t afraid enough the people. We need more weapons.
AR depends on what you’re hunting. Some places it’s not legal to use on some game.
Come on mannnnn! Don’t confuse us with stats. LOL! We know the game.
