Rubio's playing a strange game where he's pretending to be pro-union, but really isn't, and the unions know it. But he hopes to get Amazon to change something or other as a result of pretending to be pro-union. What he might end up doing is help get Amazon unionized and thereby make the union more powerful, but they'll still hate Republicans. And Amazon won't become one iota less woke.

When is he going to stop siding with illegal aliens against American citizens?

Little Marco got his panties in a bunch. Where were these losers while the cognizant people propping up Biden were stealing the election? I honestly don’t care what he has to say now. Unless he is resigning so we can get a conservative to fill his seat.

The “angle” that the GOP should be playing with Unions is that we put in tariffs. And the GOP is most likely to be protective of US industries.

The problem with that is I understand that many unions went global and now could care less about protecting US industries.

History will one day record that when McConnell, Graham, Rubio, Cruz et al actually had power, they accomplished nothing.

A pro-union stance would be in keeping with that.

One of those has nothing to do with the other.

This article is way too nuanced, just like Rubio’s position. But many of us remember how he outright betrayed tea party positions, so it’s no surprise.

To me Amazon and Jeff Bezos are much more of a danger to our freedoms than supporting a group of their workers trying to unionize...

Look at what Bezos has done, completely changed the retail industry, bought the Washington Post as his personal propaganda arm, and is rumored to be buying CNN to created another propaganda outlet, help shutdown Parler temporarily for political freedoms, etc....

If Conservatives are going to fight back against these Big Tech Companies, then we need out of the box thinking...

Creating major labor issues for Amazon might be a way to do that....

We know Democrats only care about public sector unions, this 1.9 Stimulus bill is nothing more than a bailout to public sector unions...

If Amazon started having major labor problems and maybe faced a real strike or two, it would be a good thing IMO.....if supporting unionization does that, I am inclined to go along with it...

He *could* take a principled pro-labor position by siding with the union’s demands for better pay and benefits on the merits. Or he could take the traditional Republican position that workers should have the freedom to decide whether they want to join a union or not

Or he could take the position that globalist corporations need to be dismantled. Stop the corporate welfare. Create a competitive business environment especially for small businesses. That includes legal and tax reforms. Cut the regulations. Cut red tape. That will create workplaces that offer good pay and benefits for those that want to put in an honest day's work.

I couldn't give two craps for unions. They are in bed with globalist unions and globalist corporations. They care not about rank and file.
