(CNN) Police in Washington, DC, are investigating an allegation that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones threatened to push a pro-Trump political organizer off of an event stage in December, according to people familiar with the incident.
The allegation was filed with DC police by Kylie Jane Kremer, executive director of the organization Women for America First, a group that helped organize a series of post-election rallies, including one in a park south of the White House that preceded the Capitol riot on January 6.
Kremer told police that on December 11 someone "threatened to shove her off the stage at her event" scheduled for the following day, according to a police incident report. That report does not name Jones, but four sources familiar with the incident, three of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, said Jones -- who spreads conspiracy-theory-laden content through the website InfoWars -- made the alleged threat.
The fourth source, Scott Johnston, who was driving Kremer that day, told CNN that he witnessed Jones' alleged threat to Kremer and has spoken to police during their investigation.
The allegation highlights the way that some influencers within the "Stop the Steal" movement at times clashed even as they shared a goal of rallying support to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
The case of alleged "threats to do bodily harm" remains under active investigation, a spokesperson for Washington's Metropolitan Police Department told CNN. The spokesperson declined to confirm whether Jones was a subject of the investigation or provide further details about the investigation.

I’ve paid little attention to him over the years, except for what I’ve seen here; and don’t know who ‘David Knight’ is. But I know that you can’t run an oufit as long as he has done without making money at it.
He has always seemed to me to be an opportunist and manipulator, perfectly happy to whip people up into frenzies; and I don’t doubt that doing so has been financially advantageous to him.
Next they will accuse him of ripping the tags off a mattress.
This is nothing but Feds looking for a way to try to arrest and silence AJ.

#18. Jones may be providing “context” (which you don’t know is accurate or not on a number of occasions), but some of his facts are nothing be extrapolations from a small “fact” without the needed documentation.
I don’t give a rat’s behind if he makes “comments” but some of his “declarations” would get him an “F” in both history and English classes.
He’s the Frank Capell of today and that is not good for us and the full truth about anything.
We can't form a third party because it will split the vote and lead to Dem victories.
We can't protest to the point of peacefully occupying public buildings because the media co-conspirators will spin it as an assault.
We can't have completely innocuous protests because it will be ignored by the media and the SJWs will dox the participants.
We can't just sit back in our homes and write letters because they will be tossed in the circular file.
We can't put forth charismatic and controversial leaders because they will be labeled as new Hitlers.
We can't put forth reasonable and respectful leaders because they will be ignored.
We can't form groups that could provide support for future conservative efforts because they will be infiltrated by the FBI and labeled as neo-Nazi.
We can't win at the polls because the country is being inundated with Dem voters and any attempt to report fraud is treated as a conspiracy theory.
Alex Jones is not the problem. Alex Jones is the symptom.
