Calling out the lies and errors in Biden's COVID speech

Joseph Farah inserts some reality into president's primetime pandemic address

"Good evening my fellow Americans. Tonight, I'd like to talk to you about where we are as we mark one year since everything stopped because of this pandemic."

Stop the tape! Everything did not stop because of this pandemic.

"A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked, denials for days, weeks, then months."

Stop the tape! It was not met with silence nor spread unchecked (except in New York) nor denials for days, weeks, then months. What you left out was where it originated. Not with Donald Trump, but with China.

"That led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness. Photos and videos from 2019 feel like they were taken in another era. The last vacation, the last birthday with friends, the last holiday with extended family."

Stop the tape! Yes, it's terrible what China did to us. Why aren't you doing anything about it, as Donald Trump was doing?

"While it was different for everyone, we all lost something – a collective suffering, a collective sacrifice, a year filled with the loss of life and the loss of living for all of us. But in the loss, we saw how much there was to gain in appreciation, respect, and gratitude. Finding light in the darkness is a very American thing to do."

Stop the tape! I know what you lost: Your mind! You have done everything humanly possible to make it worse, including stealing the election.

Buy-Dung used the same emotive, anecdotal imagery during the dark beginning (”empty chairs at empty tables...”) which has become the staple of the Venutian touchy-feely appeals made by the left...the very same technique used by the LGBTQ+ folks to invoke sympathy and “acceptance”

Dung continued to appeal to his Karan and Kevin base.

It’s not the words but it’s the lecturing that Sleepy Joe did. Jimmy Carter made the same mistake. By large, Americans do not like to be lectured and told what to do.

. By large, Americans do not like to be lectured and told what to do.

We're not the frightened little sheep that too many of us were a year ago.

We're starting to question...and long overdue.

If "social distancing" works, why do we need masks?

If masks work, why do we need "social distancing?"

If the vaccine "works", why do we need either of the above?

Calling out the lies misses the point oompletley.

Why is he lying? and who is behind the lies? and what is their end game? that’s a freakin’ story.

Tactics I can see moron.

It’s the strategy I’m interested in, but to publish that is to risky.

Thanks for nothing.

Carter’s speech became known as the “Malaise” speech, what shall this speech become known as?

“I know it’s been hard. I truly know. As I’ve told you before, I carry a card in my pocket with the number of Americans who have died from COVID to date. It’s on the back of my schedule. As of now, total deaths in America, 527,726. That’s more deaths than in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War and 9/11 combined.

Wrong Joe. Total deaths of the 3 wars and 9/11 is 583,101; off 55,375. Joe tell the truth! You said that we were owed it in your speech and you lie your ass off!

“Buy-Dung used the same emotive, anecdotal imagery during the dark beginning . . .”

Does that work with most voters?

I asked RON PAUL many years ago, why do politicians (democrats, liberals) make laws that hurt our kids, grandkids, etc. He said they only care about Control.

Power, Money, Control. First comes control.

It may work, but it's not the voters Biden is appealing to now.

It's his handlers, cohorts, funders and anonymous fixers who put him in the White House and are by now wondering whether they put money on the wrong horse (or donkey, is it were).

Over the past seven weeks, Biden has, besides issuing a staggering number of executive orders (all of which we can assume were drawn up well before January 20), demonstrated a remarkable talent for ad lib speaking, literally.

Forgetting names, places, what he's doing, where he is and where he's going is a common ailment suffered by millions of Americans in Biden's age group. It can be a precursor to dementia or maybe not. We all have occasional lapses of memory when we're short on sleep or under stress.

Needless to say, Joe's blunders of late cannot be very reassuring to the group of people who invested in Joe as the "moderate" alternative to Donald Trump. They kept him out of the glare of spotlights all during the campaign, thinking he could make profitable use of his isolation by working on his extemporaneous speaking skills.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes the WaPost and NYT writers to start reporting Biden's memory lapses, mispronunciations and outright lies.
