It’s the defacto creation of a gun registry. There is only one thing that happens once a gun registry is created. I’m not ok with background checks, they don’t stop crime and they are an infringement on the 2nd amendment.

I am never a fervent supporter of anything which controls ownership of guns. Gun ownership is best method to avoid dictatorship.

However there are too many guns in criminal hands. And there has to be a way to restrict convicted gun criminals from owning more guns. I see nothing good in allowing a bank robber, a drug peddler, a rapist using gun to threaten the victim, etc allowed to freely buy more guns using the prerogative of 2nd Amendment.

Brian **itzpatrick was endorsed by the Brady Campaign, Giffords law center, and Everytown for gun safety. Not only did he vote for this law, he also sponsored it. He was also endorsed by a whole slew of unions and leftist groups. He touts himself as "the most independent" member of Congress.

He was challenged by MAGA candidate Andy Meehan in the 2020 primary, who lost badly. He was shafted by the county GOP bosses over a fake racism charge.

He was a Pelosi impeachment baby too.

Upton voted to impeach Trump as well.
But I’m not sure if the others.

This would be three litmus tests. Are they Pelosi’s goons?

Is the national party going to defend them... again?

There are two Republican house members who voted for all three of the following:

1. Voted to impeach President Trump

2. Voted to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from all of her committee assignments

3. Voted for the Democrat Gun Control Bill

The traitors are...

- Adam Kinzinger (R-IL)

- Fred Upton (R-MI)

I rather make it more difficult for real criminals to buy guns from others, while for me and you with no criminal background there will be no problem.

Oh, right, because criminals will find religion and start following THIS rule where they haven't in the past. That logic makes a lot of sense and has proven so correct in the past. Don't know why I didn't realize that before!

That was snarky sarcasm, by the way. Criminals won't follow the law; it's kinda in their job description. They will have no more difficulty buying guns than they have right now. The only people hampered by a UBC will be law abiding gun owners. The anti-freedom state will be the big winner it all. It will be able to track the movement of a majority of guns through UBC. Tracking is precursor to confiscation, which is the stated end game of the Socialist/Globalists.

yes, for sure, before I clicked on the link, I already knew it was Smith...I really don’t like him, first he and most republicans voted to fund planned parenthood anytime the republicans controlled the House..1994-2006, contract with America.

He voted against ANWR and a whole slew of liberal bills.

Laws only restrict the law abiding. Criminals will not be effected by gun laws, and thinking otherwise is blatantly illogical. Therefore there must be a reason for these laws, and it certainly isn't to stop criminals from buying guns. What do you think the actual reason might be? It isn't to punish those that use guns in crime, prosecutors are notoriously lax when prosecuting firearms charges (against criminals). Further we know from studies done on the NICs system, that attempted gun purchases by disallowed individuals is rarely prosecuted.

What they want is a registry followed by confiscation, as that is what ALWAYS follow registration.

When a convicted criminal is caught with unregistered gun will enable much more severe prison sentence.
