*snip*
As a former teacher of history, I have taught many students about the worst totalitarian movements around the world. As I ponder what is happening to our society and public education, I see many similarities to Mao’s Cultural Revolution. In America’s Cultural Revolution, the radical racialists of BLM and Antifa are leading the charge. These two avowed Marxist organizations are full of indoctrinated and disgruntled youth, like the Red Guards of Mao’s China. The campaign of destruction in many American cities and harassment of people minding their own business led by BLM and Antifa, is comparable to the terror unleashed by the Red Guards on China’s intellectuals, cultural relics, and institutions. In China, as in the cities targeted by America’s Marxist youth, statues were torn down, private property was seized and destroyed, those who disagree politically were beaten or killed and great architectural buildings were burnt to the ground.
When our public schools eventually do reopen fully in every state, I fear that the woke Cultural Revolution we are living through will continue to accelerate and make every aspect of the job more difficult for conservative educators like me to continue working in the public schools. The idea of going through a “struggle session” as a 22-year faculty member of my suburban Detroit Area school district is enough to convince me that the uphill battle conservatives (especially Trump supporters) face is not worth having my financial future and reputation ruined. America’s own version of the Red Guard are given prominence within schools for their “voice” and are being supported by school boards, administrative office staff, building administrators and classroom teachers. And as the indoctrination of our youth by mostly left-wing educators continues with anti-racism curriculum and materials, life in schools and society for conservatives will only get worse...

About the only career in teaching, that is safe, is the janitor.
Conservative teachers should do undercover work to identify the radical communist network’s chain of command and who bears most responsibility for indoctrination strategy.
Not the media...they wouldn't report it. Not the school board, they are in on the indoctrination strategy.
Not the parents, because they are afraid to speak up...and besides the parents are already aware of the indoctrination.
“Why I Am Leaving a Great Career in Public Education”
You got tired of working 5 hrs a day/ 8 months a year for 3X you’re worth?
“Indeed, conservative and traditional educators are now living through an Orwellian nightmare in modern-day public education...Gone are the days in which we operated according the principles of a colorblind society that Dr. Martin Luther King fought for.”
Maybe so, but I will keep sending my kids there. Why, because it’s ‘FREE!’ and it’s much more important for me to have the money freed up to buy that nice, new, shiny truck, and to keep up with the Jones. After all, my kids will suffer if I don’t do that.
“In China, as in the cities targeted by America’s Marxist youth, statues were torn down, private property was seized and destroyed, those who disagree politically were beaten or killed and great architectural buildings were burnt to the ground.”
...actually worse than that. One needs to replace “those who disagree politically” with “those who are PERCEIVED to disagree politically”
Anyone sticking around in this country better hope their new masters are in a good mood, because that will be their only defense against what’s coming.
Try saying that to the working poor.
“Try saying that to the working poor.”
The people who send their kids to public schools where I live and who are Trump voters are FAR from the working poor. They have options.
Re teacher salaries. So true. When you pro rate their salary if they worked 12 months many teachers Across the country are knocking on the door of $100,000.
The “working poor” are often poor because they chose to eschew an education. Many are are unable to defer pleasure for the benefits derived over time.
MANY are more interested in getting stoned or drunk half the time.
MANY choose to drive a fancy car at the expense of contributing sacrificially to savings or a 401k
MANY ARE MORBIDLY OBESE

Yeah...I’m a teacher. Don’t cry for us too much (at least regarding salaries). Metropolitcan salaries are actually quite high if you get a master’s degree or higher (which is not hoard to do). The greatest difficulty is putting up with disrespectful and disruptive students with an unsupportive administration. Still, there are TONS of loser Leftists who have found a hope in public education and use it as a forum to push their ideology.
You win the spelling bee, teach!
Try 12 hours a day, 10 months a year.
You’re only counting classroom time, not the hours required meeting paperwork requirements for the local bureaucracy, meetings, conferences, etc.
All good jobs eventually turn lousy.
Now there's an oxymoron if I ever saw one.
Is this like a "great career as an arsonist?"
This has been going on for decades and the network is well known. Curriculums are created at the top. University department of educations create the propaganda, usually with a good sounding name. It’s the bureaucrats of the US department of education and the state department of educations that impose it. Parents don’t care what their children are taught so long as they get the “free” baby sitting so there’s been no opposition.

Now let’s not be a spelling/grammar-Nazi (especially with no edit feature). ;)
Janitors are being replaced with outside Janitorial service contracts. Ditto Food Service workers.
